This totally unique little A-frame sits in our most private site, on a platform built with reclaimed barn wood, and was built with all reclaimed barn wood and other materials as well. On the West side of the a-frame, clear polycarbonate panels make up the wall, so you can watch the beautiful sunsets and gaze at the stars (while still protected from the elements in your cozy bed)!
Possibly best described as a "tent made of wood", the a-frame is in cozy and small, perfect for a couple, with enough room for a comfy, clean full-size mattress made up with nice, soft linens and plush pillows, a couple of wood slice night stands (and an alarm clock!), with a perfect amount of space to store your belongings. It is framed with shiplap in the back, and heavy canvas curtains with velcro closures secure the front entrance to keep the heat in and the critters out. The curtains easily tie back and also have a sheer curtain layer to keep bugs out even with the curtains open.
All solar-powered, a remote/pull-string controlled solar pendant light hangs in the center, and solar twinkle lights provide all the light you need to be comfy! The A-frame's platform incorporates a 4 foot deck in front, with a movable solar lightbulb hanging at the peak, with outdoor solar string lights hung a surrounding the platform. The deck area provides a great place to store your belongings or cooler, and the raised platform is surrounded by soft, shaved pine mulch, keeping the surrounding vegetation and (yummy) blackberry bushes out of your space.
Curl up surrounded by trees and foliage in the two super-comfy outdoor bean bag chairs, or sit around the in-ground stone fireplace and roast hot dogs or marshmallows! You'll feel completely serene once you turn down your private, cleared pathway leading to the A-frame, as the natural vegetation and trees provide huge walls of privacy and calm! Read a book or take a nap in your site's own comfy hammock, hung between two trees just a few dozen feet away from the a-frame, and enjoy the peaceful songs of the early morning birds!
We want your glamping getaway to feel extra-special and help to getyou connected with nature, without having to sacrifice modern comforts, so we've outfitted the little cabin with a gourmet coffee and tea tray, stocked with all the fixin's: a stainless teapot, a copper and glass french press, organic coffee and tea, and sugar/creamer/honey sticks and a set of four cozy mugs! A portable, tiny wood stove sits on one side of the deck, is easy to use and provides heat and a cooking surface, and on the other side of the deck, you've got a five gallon bottle of purified water with a dispenser to provide you with fresh, clean water!
While this glamping space is definitely ideal for a romantic mini-getaway for two, there is enough space to pitch a tent and have a couple people (or kids!) join you at the site! There is enough space to park two cars. The site is equipped with a handcrafted picnic table, made using reclaimed barn wood. It gives you a perfect cooking station, or you can bring your own camp chairs to sit at the table for a nice dinner, with a citronella-scented torch lantern centerpiece! We've set you up to keep the skeeters away, with another, portable citronella candle lantern, and a mosquito-net style canopy that hangs over the cozy bed inside the A-frame!
The little touches that make this space incredibly special truly need to be witnessed to appreciate! Come and enjoy a comfortable, relaxing outdoor getaway close to town, and feel like you're in the middle of nowhere! We are in an excellent location in rural North Bellingham, with super-easy access to the Mt. Baker Highway, the Guide Meridian and 1-5, and only 15-20 minutes from Birch Bay, Bellingham Bay, and Chuckanut Drive!
For your in-ground stone fire pit, we provide you with a box of matches, a generous starter bundle of firewood and cedar kindling from old barn roofing shakes, with more available! The same goes for your tiny woodstove, which also has an ash bucket and shovel. Sustainable building and the use of reclaimed materials and barn wood is something we want to highlight at our glamping sites, as we are owners of a barn deconstruction and salvage business, and love to build and create with our beautiful reclaimed materials!

Great getaway for weekend! . Despite rain on occasion it was great for it was peaceful, snug, comfortable and warm in the A frame . The stove which we made fire in added to quaitness of this Aframe. The hosts were friendly and great to communicate with. This place is about 15 to 20 minutes to town and exploring. The hammock is a relaxing bonus. Highly recommend.
Loved it! It was closer to town than we expected, but that was actually really convenient for us. The A Frame was really cozy, and was really lovely to sit inside with a book and listen to the rain. Would 100% stay here again.
Pros and cons
I stayed at the Stargazer’s Tiny A-Frame with a close friend and my boyfriend for a weekend. We have put together a list of the pros and cons of our experience at the A-Frame.
• Quiet and excluded-
We had others camping near us at a different location on the property but this factor did not interfere with the quietness.
There is room for two large tents, or several smaller tents near by.
• The A-frame-
was very cozy clean, and warm during the cold nights. The bed is comfortable for two people.
• Clean water-
was provided at the campsite. This gave us less of a hassle buying water for our stay.
• Tea station-
We did not use the tea station during our stay but it was nice having the option for fresh coffee, hot chocolate, green tea etc.
• Hand-washing station-
This was very useful during our stay to have clean water, and soap for hand washing or cleaning dishes.
• The hammock-
All of us enjoyed the hammock and found this touch to be relaxing. (I ended up breaking the hammock they had provided due to a stick getting caught and ripping a hole in the material. We replaced the hammock the same day and raised it higher off the ground to prevent this issue from happening again)
• Portal potty- The bathroom on site was very dirty and was past due for cleaning but this can be a easy fix.
• Wood chipping grounds-
The site had wood chipping pieces scattered on the ground. If not watched careful this can be safety hazard while having a fire. Due to being flammable but if you sweep away the material from the fire, have a fire extinguisher, and watch careful this problem can be fixed.
Overall, the cons are very easy fixes and is not a huge problem. We would definitely stay at the A-Frame again. The hosts were very kind and provided us with a awesome stay!
This was the perfect getaway! The site was equipped with everything you need! It was so peaceful, quiet and relaxing! The hosts were great with communication! I can’t wait to stay again!
Stop looking and book this place!!
This place is awesome! So peaceful and private. Great weekend getaway and super convenient to get supplies if you need anything during your stay. Hosts provided more amenities than I can list. Grab a cooler and snacks and you’re set for the perfect relaxing stay!
Great for a quick and easy getaway. We were looking for something that our teenagers would be comfortable in and Lauren and Micah delivered. The A-frame was cute, clean and comfortable. They loved the twinkle lights and privacy. The campsite had enough space for our large 4 person tent too.
