Great spot for the night!
Great spot for the night! I’m glad we took a screen shot of the directions before we lost service since it is spotty out there, but the spot had a nice wood platform for our tent and chairs and a small table. We got poured rain on and should’ve prepared better for that.
This camp is a true gem! Like others have said, this is at the edge of the campground so you have privacy from other campers, and it is right off of the Olympic Discovery Trail so there were a few walkers and bikers that passed by throughout throughout the day. It’s the furthest site from the bathrooms/showers/cooking areas, about a 5 minute walk up and down some steep terrain, but there is a porta potty 20 feet away on the trail, so we were okay with that. Also, you cannot pull up directly to the site, you have to park maybe 30 or so feet away and bring your things to camp. While this specific site may not be the most accessible for those who have a hard time moving around, it was truly beautiful and peaceful, and I hope to stay there again!
Great place for bike campers
Second time staying at this site and it was even better than the last time. There is now a nice wooden bench with a fire ring next to it. It is directly off of the ODT and I would recommend to anyone riding the trail. We met Logan and he was very friendly and helpful. Be careful plugging things in at the bathroom because the power is not very stable and could damage whatever you are powering. (in our case an ebike battery)
This place was incredible. I stayed for two nights and felt very safe and cared for. The common areas with kitchens, bathrooms, and board games made these campgrounds feel like a small community. I met some cool people, and when we wanted to be alone we were able to go back to our hidden campsite. I am all the way from Texas and I would come back here again!
Sol duc Rainforest camping site 1b was super quiet and you need your own tent at this site. The whole campground is in the forest and this site is next to the Olypic National Forest. The place was well kept up and Logan is adding more amenities all the time. The firepit by the kitchen was fun to hangout at and meet other campers that were staying there.
Thumbs Up!!! and say hi to Stephen!
