Situated near Satus Pass, 15 miles north of Goldendale, we have some of the brightest star-gazing skies anywhere. We are just off Hwy 97, so be aware that there will be some highway noise. With a flat graveled parking/camping area and a pull-thru circular driveway, we can accomodate rv's, travel trailers and tent campers. We are in the process of creating tent sites with greater privacy, until that is completed tent camping is dispersed in the graveled parking lot. Please review "Rules and Safety" prior to booking. Please make a separate booking for each RV or trailer with tow vehicle. Extra vehicle $5/night, extra vehicle plus tent, $15/night, pay upon arrival. Be sure to check out our new glamping listing, "Satus Pass Peasant Palace", which is a well-appointed glamping tent on a raised wooden platform. We are pet friendly and hunter friendly, hidden in the trees but with easy highway access and less than 3 miles to great food and coffee at St John's Monastery Bakery. Closer yet is Brooks Memorial State Park. And Mary HIll State Park, on the Columbia River and featuring a boat launch, is 26 miles away. Within easy access of our campsite you can hike, mountain bike, hunt, fish, shoot, 4x4, star watch, wine tour, or just relax and get away from it all.

Tom was super accomodating to our group! The amenities helped us a ton, and the space was great. We fit a 24 foot rv, a pop up trailer, and parked our drift boat and vehicles. Our kids loved all the space. Would highly recommend and definitely use again!

Truly a pleasure to host this happy and active family for a long fun-filled weekend! It worked out well that I was able to block out other reservations and devote the entire campground to their group, and they made good use of it as a private and secure base of operations for fishing the Klickitat. I was shocked at the size of the salmon they caught in the Klickitat River- it was so big it barely fit in their large cooler! Thanks Danielle, and I'm looking forward to your next visit.

We enjoyed our stay at this clean and well maintained site. Being next to the highway there was some traffic noise but died down later in the evening. Be sure to follow instructions on entering the site since semi-truck traffic on highway can make entering with a longer trailer a bit challenging.

Great after a late-night Goldendale Observatory show! Tom was super communicative and it was a very flexible check-in. We're happy we found it!

This is a nice level gravel camping spot, perfect for our Jeep and roof top tent.
Tom, is super friendly and responds quickly to any questions you may have.
It’s only about a hundred feet from a heavily trafficked highway, so bring your earplugs to sleep at night.

Tom is a very nice host. He made sure that we had everything we needed and was very helpful. The site is right off the highway, so it is loud. It was great home base to do some wine tasting!

Plenty of room for several RVs, on a level gravel pad. Very close to the highway, but we didn't notice as much traffic noise as we expected.

Beautiful trees, starry nights, no bugs. clean site and porta potty. Host was friendly and helpful. He provided us well water and garbage can. However, the big downside to this property is it’s proximity to the road and the traffic noise. All day and night. Bring your earplugs.

We had a great weekend in this remote spot in the middle of nature. Tom was a fabulous host and helped us explore the neighborhood. It was fun zooming around in his ATV
