Description

Your weekend will be solid as a rock if you can snag a spot at highly popular Rock Island Campground. Don’t let the name fool you, this place is anything but an island… Unless if your idea of an island is to be in the middle of a National Forest. At basecamp you’ve got the best of the basics--potable water and five vault toilets (so many!). Leave basecamp for a nearby adventure--the Jack Trout Trailhead is a great option for both horsemen, and hikers alike.
