Views were nice, but not my favorite trip. The road to the site might as well have been matted-down by mountain goats, insanely steep inclines and big rocks all over the road. Amazed we didn't lose a tire. The site is not clearly marked at all, to be honest I'm not even 100% sure we stayed at the right spot. Mike did not communicate with us when we got lost on the way, nor did he follow up the next day to make sure we made it safely. Do not reserve this spot without a vehicle that has 4WD and is high off the ground.
It’s a good spot to get away from everyone. Private with nothing around you but sage brush and deer. The camping pad is pretty rocky, so bring a good cushion or air mattress to sleep on. Definitely a great spot to see the stars and a great view in the morning when the sun rises. You definitely want to get there before dark as the sign that the campsite is on is easy to miss in the dark. Also, a vehicle with plenty of ground clearance is needed to get over some of the rocks on the trail.
Beautiful land and a beautiful sunset. Would definitely recommend staying here. That being said the location is about 90 minutes from Leavenworth. Also you definitely need 4 wheel drive and a high clearance vehicle to get to the site. I was able to make it in my Rav4 but it was a little uncomfortable at times.
Private campsite with amazing view
Very Private Campsite with an amazing view of the Columbia River Valley, lots of space and a good-sized fire pit. The campsite is 30 minutes from Chelan, so you can stop and grab anything you'd need there. The private road leading up to the campsite is a bit rocky, so I'd definitely recommend a car with a little bit of ground clearance (I made the drive in my Subaru Crosstrek without any problems).
