Mary and Steve were wonderful! Very welcoming. The camp was great — especially the communal kitchen. Be sure to bring sheets and towels, and note there might not be hot water for showering (part of the experience?!) Mary and Steve have built a lovely, whimsical campground of their own. Hope to stay here again!
Mary and Steve have built a dream camping experience in their woods!! Beautiful trees sites for pitching tents or RVs and if you’re lucky, a sweet camping trailer that has THE BEST outdoor kitchen!! All my friends want me to take them there!! A true gem in the woods!
Fantastic and whimsical homey feel
Our stay at Mary and Steve's Wooded Meadows 2 was absolutely wonderful! Mary and Steve are very hospitable hosts and genuinely enjoy sharing their property with their guests. We loved the blending of whimsical PNW hiker haven with homey biker camp feel. We loved Lucy and May (the dogs)- they are very friendly and love hanging out with their guests. The communal area is fantastic. From a practical sense, everything provided made our outdoor experience fun and easy- refrigerator, stove top, coffee maker, utensils etc all provided in the communal kitchen. We had a great campfire each night in the fire pit, roasted smores, all while enjoying the whimsical and outdoorsy additions Mary and Steve have added to the beautiful PNW forested setting of their property- from the string lights and neon bar signs in the kitchen to the old Forest service/National park signs adorning the communal areas. Our group of three friends comfortably stayed in the RV, which met the needs of both the camping adverse in our group as well as the camping delighted. We will definitely be back to Mary and Steve's property in the future- it's a great launching spot for our three days of coastal adventures. When we return, we will bring filtered water- the sulfur in the well water was just overpowering enough that filtered water will really hit the spot next time. Also, bring ear plugs if you're a light sleeper- the night time road noise is not too bad, but I slept great with ear plugs in. Thank you Mary and Steve for sharing your little slice of PNW heaven with the rest of us!
