Cool Tipi
Mary was a gracious host. The Tipi was cool and there was firewood available. Chewelah is a scenic place.

Unique Stay
Exactly what it looks like in the pictures, but would recommend staying in the winter. Lots of bees in the summer and it caused me a bit of anxiety. I couldn't stay overnight due to safety concerns. Very kind host who tried to be super accommodating, but didn't work out.

Incredible stay, even at 20 degrees outside with snow, the fire kept the inside warm all night. I hope to return some day!

Spacious Tipi in a Beautiful Garden
Mary Alyce was a great host - super friendly and responsive, available when we needed anything, and otherwise gave left us alone.
The property is beautiful and easy to find. The tipi is spacious and we were able to stay warm with the fire ring inside. Unlimited firewood, kindling, and starter material was provided to us for $10 for the whole trip.
There are a few espresso stands, restaurants, and stores in town if you need anything. The property is also right next to the town's Farmer's Market, which occurs on Fridays throughout the summer months.
Bring a cooler, stove, and your own sleeping bag/bedding and pillow. There are cots on the ground, but you may want a sleeping pad for extra comfort.
Would definitely stay again if I'm in the area!

Painted Sacred Tipi
This was an incredible place to stay. Mary Alyce provided spot on communication the entire time. Upon arrival I was pleasantly greeted and toured through the accommodations and property. . The Tipi was not only beautiful, but also very comfortable and quite soothing after a stressful day. I will definitely be returning!

The tipi was wonderful, the property was beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay. In the middle of the night the yard sprinkler system went off two times for about a half hour each time. This made the sprinkler hit the tipi and was extremely loud. That was slightly disappointing considering it is advertised as "sacred grounds", so we thought it would be my peaceful setting, especialy while trying to sleep.
