This is my second stay with James and won’t be my last. He is very responsive, has an awesome setup and even provide good wood for the fire. Super nice guy, great setup for an escape from Seattle (and of course anywhere else)

I love the mountains and wanted to see the fall colors so headed over and stayed the night at James place in our Camper van. Great little set up. So pretty with larch trees everywhere and lots of stars at night. And close to all of the local towns to shop and eat at. Will def be back!

This was a great campsite and Jim was super helpful and communicative throughout our process. This is a well thought out campsite and offers access to power, gravel throughout the site, kindling, and more. Jim even put up a tarp over the picnic table so we had a dry place to cook during the rainy weather. The little cabin also served as a great retreat when we wanted to relax and warm up. The port-a-potty was the cleanest I've ever seen. This spot served as a perfect jumping off point as there are many things to see and do in the area. We aim to return!

Our two night stay was wonderful.
James is an excellent communicator. He told me about fun places to visit and other cool activities. When we arrived he helped us settle in, bringing kindling and firewood and giving us a layout of the space. Inside his incredible camping shed there were lights, heat, refrigerator, propane stove, tv with DVD player and a bench that turns into a pull out bed.
James has put so much work into this slice of camping heaven. It is super clean, graveled and level, spacious and private. The trees were glorious in the day light but even better with the full moon reflecting at night. The honeybucket was pristine and had safety lighting for nighttime trips to the loo.
Can't wait for my next stay, Thank you James for your slice of camping heaven.

Great spot for river access. Some road noise but good host and site. Our trailer was too big but Jim took it in stride.

James is a wonderful host and his hospitality was greatly appreciated. He has created a lovely camp space with lots of details. Very clean Porta potty and a little wood building that has a mini fridge and a Coleman stove, electricity and lights.
And perfect for my timing as the weather turned and it’s cold and raining he had just installed a small fireplace electric heater which saved my day. There’s a fire pit and wood which I would use if it wasn’t raining. James brought me some kindling yesterday before the rain started and I actually got to have a fire in the pit for about a half hour before the rain started. This is a good location to serve as a base camp to go hiking up around Salmon La Sac or visiting any number of the rivers and creeks in the area. The town of Roselyn close by is a tourist destination. The set up here is great for a small RV or camper trailer. There is a hook up.
There is a small shallow loft up a steep ladder which you could sleep in if you brought your bedding. There are neighbors but I didn’t hear or see anyone. The site is nicely forested. Will return next time I’m in the area.

This was a lovely spot, perfect for my overnight and easy to get to Roslyn. The little cabin really exceeded my expectations, it's really adorable and well equipped. Host was super helpful and accomodating. Do listen to the RV length limits provided by the host, the photos don't really show the sharp turn on approach, but otherwise the pad and site are roomy and great.

The Humbug Ranch was very accommodating for campers who desire amenities and a break from rough camping. My husband and I normally do dry camping trips, and this site was a great break - the hut had a gas stove, small fridge, kitchen tools and much more. We even had a big screen TV to watch DVD movies. The outhouse was well stocked, clean, with motion light sensors inside and out for night visits. It felt like a home away from home. James provided more information and help than required; we were very happy with this site!
