You definitely want to stay here!
Honeysuckle Meadery is beyond amazing! Dean truly makes the experience better than we could have ever imagined. There are so many highlights to list:
1. A ride around the property in his side by side so we knew where we could walk our pups.
2. A wine tasting of his excellent wine (which led to us purchasing multiple bottles to take home with us)
3. His slot car experience-my son's favorite part!
4. His welcoming committee (Jake and Zoey)
5. His overall hospitality-bought us some of his fresh roasted coffee to try in the morning (it was delicious!), he saw us struggling to start a fire so he bought us a leaf blower to assist, he was a host that felt more like a neighbor, not overbearing or pushy.
6. The restrooms were immaculate which included Bluetooth speakers built into the lights so you can rock out while you shower if you wish.
We will absolutely stay here again soon. My son didn't want to leave! I can not recommend him enough!
I’ll just put these adjectives here: convenient, quiet, generous, helpful, and woodsy. My 3-day stay was in Nov amidst extreme weather. I was pretty level, had 30 amps, and was able to spend one day just chilling in my van on the site. Regret not purchasing Mead.
Best host fantastic stay!
Dean was FANTASTIC! So kind and accommodating. The tasting was a BLAST you should 100% do it if you stay there. Nice clean bathrooms great dogs and great host. Thanks again Dean!
Dean was an amazing host. Even though we just needed a place to plug in and sleep, Dean offered us so much more. He and his dogs were welcoming and helpful upon entering the property, and their hospitality continued over sharing meade and stories. Dean even made us a fantastic morning coffee using the beans he roasts himself. An impressive, talented man!
Showers are hot and everything works.
Dean's acreage is a dream! We stayed there in our motorhome and absolutely loved it. We have two dogs and they are picky about making friends but adored Deans dogs. They are the sweetest and make the camping even more enjoyable.
Dean was kind enough to show us his meadery and the property so we felt comfortable exploring and walking around.
We would definitely recommend it for other campers whether you have an RV, tent, van, etc.
For reference we comfortably parked our 31 ft motorhome and we were able to hookup to electricity (only available in one spot so inquire with dean!). There is a shower and toilet available for use in a separate building from his home in the backyard.
Beyond expectations for hospitality
Dean has a lovely spot in the woods, and was a wonderful host. Didn't get a chance to taste the wine, but the coffee was amazing! I'll be back for sure. Highly recommend the stay, and be sure to plan enough time to hang out and explore.
Quiet, peaceful and phenomenal host
This spot was 100%. Dean was a phenomenal host, brought me morning cappucino, showed me down to the river in his ATV, and introduced me to his meadery wine which was a first for me! His dogs are also the sweetest! I needed a quiet and peaceful place to work for 2 days and this was perfect. I slept with the window open to hear the waterfall in his front yard throughout the night. I highly recommend this place!
