Hang out on the deck and watch the eagles, hawks, blue herons and so many other birds soar above you with the Olympics in the background. Snuggle up on the full size memory foam bed with linens provided. There is a picnic table and fire ring with attached grill. Firewood is available for purchase. While you're here you can enjoy a mile of walking trails and watch the farm animals play and graze. Facilities include a porta potty and a hands free hand washing station. 1/2 mile from the 44 mile Chimacum-Toandos Peninsula Bicycle Loop. 20 minutes from Hood Canal. 30 minutes to Chimacum which is a great farming community and part of the Olympic Peninsula cider route. 30 minutes to many Olympic National Forest hiking trails. Lots of small secluded lakes in the area as well. Please note, during your stay you will hear the noises associated with a working homestead. Most people will enjoy the sounds of nature along with our farm animals but light sleepers may want to bring ear plugs. If you forget them or find the sounds louder than expected let us know and we're happy to supply a pair at no charge. Our livestock guardian dogs will not bark unnecessarily but will bark periodically as people or animals approach the yard or campers drive by. Most people don't seem to be bothered by this but if you think it will interfere with being able to enjoy your stay, we may not be the best option for you. We want you to enjoy your stay but it's equally important for our dogs to be able to do their job, which is keeping the property safer for our animals and campers.

Sean and Simona are wonderful, thoughtful hosts! The A frame is beautifully built with touches that add comfort and style. It was comforting that they were so close, yet had enough privacy to feel like I was on my own in the woods.
I took my very first solo trip and decided to stay at the Overlook and I am so glad I did! Sean and Simona were the most welcoming hosts and I always felt well cared for. The A-frame is hand crafted and one of a kind. Even in December I made use of the large patio window and sat on the porch to read at night. The cabin was cozy at night and I slept so peacefully! I loved touring the farm and getting to know my inspirational hosts. All around a 10/10 stay. Very thankful for Simona and Sean’s hospitality!
The magic is in the simplicity
I have followed Camp Forever Young’s Instagram journey for quite some time. When a trip took me to Seattle, I seized the opportunity to spend the night at the camp. Even though the weather was not ideal (I’m the one who picked November to visit the PNW), my stay was. Sean and Simona are friendly hosts and the A-frame cabin was perfect…the bedding, the view, and especially the propane heater. When there were breaks in the rain, I popped up the side door to enjoy the forest surroundings. The solar lights helped light the path to the bathroom after dark, something I was a little concerned about as a solo traveler. I was also happy I had cell service for that reason, even though I wanted to pretend I didn’t in this idyllic setting. The Overlook is like something out of a woodland fairy tale and everything you could want in a simple camping getaway.
We really enjoyed our escape to the overlook and will definitely come back again. Sean was so kind, welcoming, gave us privacy while touching base to make sure we had what we needed. Quiet, peaceful and enjoyed the sound of the giggling geese while drinking our morning coffee.
Cozy and charming all around.
This was an absolutely amazing experience all around. My wife and I were looking forward to a cozy getaway without the kids after dealing with all the stressors of a death in the family. We actually live fairly close, and I must admit, from behind the computer it felt a little silly booking a getaway so close to home... We are so glad we did though and we are both looking forward to doing it again! Even the quiet, curvy drive in was nice! Upon our arrival we were greeted by camp hosts Sean and Simona, who both quickly proved to be infectiously gracious, charming, and kind-hearted human beings. They had offered us a tour of the farm, which we accepted and they even let us feed their animals after showing us where we could gather wild huckleberries for them. Unbelievably friendly and charming hosts! (I also got the impression that if you pulled in to camp feeling tired, or antisocial [as I often do!] that they aren't the kind of people that would be remotely offended or bothersome if you just wanted to get to camp.).
The aptly named "Overlook", is situated on a hill that looks over the homestead and out at the mountains and trees. It is a fairly simple, but ridiculously charming little off-grid shelter that was built and oriented in an awesome location. Love the mosquito netting over the bed so you can comfortably sleep with the side of the cabin opened up! We had also rented a propane fireplace for the reasonable price of $15, which was an awesome amenity to have available as there's currently a burn ban in effect, and having a drink around an empty firepit is just kind of a drag... In the morning we woke to natural light flooding into the A-frame, and a stellar view to wake up to. We had our morning coffee on the porch in the provided Adirondack chairs and even though we were close to home, we felt like we were on vacation. Absolutely fantastic experience all around. Sean and Simona had told us this camp/homestead was their dream, and with as charming and passionate as they are, it's no surprise our experience was what it was. Nice, charming people do nice charming work, as it turns out!
A wonderful and quiet get away!
We had such a good time! It was incredibly quiet, super cute accommodations, and Sean and Simona are super great! They responded very promptly to all of my questions beforehand, and they’ve thought of everything when it comes to their A-Frame camp site. Wish we could have stayed longer!
Perfect glamping a-frame weekend
This was our first Hipcamp stay, and this was a fantastic experience for our family. Great hosts, cabin, and location. It was quiet, and a great atmosphere. On our way out they showed us around the farm (including the cute goats and new puppy) and the cool things they are building next. Would highly recommend!
A perfect, peaceful retreat!
Sean & Simona are the best hosts! So kind & genuine, they’ll make you feel right at home from the minute you drive in. The property is so peaceful & the A-frame is just perfect! We loved all the little details they thought of to make our stay so cozy & comfortable.
