Great, private spot
Great spot to spend the weekend. It was great having firewood provided- make sure you bring a hatchet for kindling. Compost toilet was great and there was water/soap to wash up.
I’ll be back!
We (2 humans + 2 dogs) had a great time staying with Taylor and Delly at the Baker Lake property. We had our own quiet spot that we used as a base camp for adventures outward. The stars were amazing, the site was lovely, the place was quiet, and the dogs had a blast. Taylor was responsive when we needed it and left us alone otherwise - great experience and would definitely recommend.
Nice quiet camp and great host
It was a pleasure to stay at Baker Lake Downhill camp. It's a secluded space in the woods, but you still close to the shop on the North Cascades Hwy and have good cell phone coverage.
Taylor is a great host. I haven't check it will rain during my stay, so Taylor offered to stay in the bus. When I arrived late he was helping me to find the way to camp.
I would love to visit the camp again.
Great site! great host!
Taylor was great! Very communicative and accommodating. He gave us a great rec for a sandy beach on the Sagkit River to spend the day. The site was as expected. Beautiful view. Clean. Running water. Private toilet. We will be booking here again!
Quiet and easy access to hikes
The campsite was perfect as a basecamp for all the nearby hikes in the north cascades. Not too far out of the way, but gives you a jump start to reach the trails first thing in the morning. The campsite itself was quite private, a firepit, and a shared compostable toilet. Stargazing was great with great field of view and low light pollution. The host was responsive , helpful , and friendly. Recommended to anyone who wants to go hiking and have a stress free camping experience.
Great host, clean site
Taylor was a really great host who went above and beyond. The privacy screen set up around the outdoor, composting toilets was clever and kept clean. He brought us fresh drinking water in a big glass dispenser for our campsite and, when our camper couldn’t get through on one part, he brought out his chain saw to trim the branch.
Host was very helpful. My wife broke her leg just a few days prior to our trip and he found a wheelchair for us to make it easier to wheel her around. I’d say that’s above and beyond hosting a campsite
