Park at the entrance of our rolling field and we'll take you and your gear over a bumpy terrain and old (but sturdy!) bridge that has induced plenty of giggles ...we've even caught a few dads!. (When it's time to head home, we'll bring you back)

There's a large tent with two comfortable cots just waiting for you on the other side along the wood. But that's not all! There's also a picnic table, fire-pit (you might spot Huxley and Davenport - the two purple/green newts that hang out there), a very clean composting toilet tent and the best part - a colorful platform swing. There's also a gate that leads into the woods if you're up for a little exploring!

There's a herd of cows that may or may not come over to greet you (although there's a fence going up soon to keep them on the other side of the field). They're gentle and curious so it's a good idea not to feed them (though you may be tempted - especially since they bring their babies with them!).

We also have about 250 chickens on the property and we have feed available if you'd like to give them a treat.

We ask that you are considerate of any neighboring campers (although the sites are a good distance apart). Singing songs around the campfire is encouraged!

This Fall - watch for Movie Nights on the weekend one of our barn walls. There will be pumpkins, a fire-pit, hay-bales, lights, popcorn and other concessions! We'll be posting a schedule soon.

The Abundance Farm is closed on Sundays although folks can check in on an earlier day and you and your gear can get a lift back to the parking area.

We're only about a 10-minute drive to civilization with plenty of restaurants and shopping areas. We'll be putting together a list of fun things to do in the area and we're always happy to answer questions about what's available close-by.

One final word - Make sure you're there to catch our amazing sunsets and get up early enough to catch the sun burning off the morning fog and dew. From stars to hawks there's always a show! The sky is one of our very favorite amenities out here!

What a wonderful getaway! Shannon is a delightful host and took extra time with our 4 and 5 year old. She introduced them to the chickens and the cows and even let them help with the farm “chores.” She also taught them camp songs while we packed in and out 💛

The fire starter kit and swing were great additions. The site was super clean, including the “outhouse” with the composting toilet.

The memory foam toppers for the cots and 3-4 boxes of wood per night is perfect.

This was my first time camping and I had a great experience. Shannon was so kind to us and treated us like family. We were greeted by chickens walking around the farm. Shannon let’s us feed some of the chickens which was a fun time. We were driven to the campsite and spent time in the swing and making food in the fire. It’s a great place to camp while having a tether to what our world is now!

Ali! You two were a delight and it was a treat to get to know you better! It was an honor to be the place that you'd choose to come for your first camping trip! Thanks for helping me fix up the platform swing!!

Abundance Farm is officially my favorite Hipcamp of all time for so many reasons, but to start, Shannon, our host, was just so kind and gracious and fun! We always recognize and are so appreciative of good hospitality, and we can't thank her enough for the farm tour, the camping, the accommodations she made for our group, and the communication, as well as just generally being a delight to get to be around!

We've noticed a lot of hosts aren't really available to interact even during check in/checkout and that's fine, but even though the campsite and property themselves just completely blew us away on their own, she really was wonderful to chat with and it was nice to know that since there was pretty good cell service we could still reach her in a pinch. She made us feel very welcomed, and getting to meet her and hear about the farm and future plans for the property just made our stay just that much more special.

When we arrived, Shannon directed us where to park and kindly pulled up her truck to our car so we could easily load up our stuff for the ride in, and she even allowed us to say hi to and feed her chickens while we waited for our friends to arrive! They were so cute and very healthy looking pretty chickeys - definitely recommend picking some farm fresh eggs and saying hi to the girls while you're there!

I will say that we usually overpack for "glamping", as we did for this trip, but next time we visit we definitely won't be bringing nearly as much because there was so much already "ready to roll" at the site! (Appropriate name for sure)

The ride in was quick and fun, Shannon let us sit in her truck bed on top of the firewood boxes she had ready for us (SO worth the extra $5) so we got to see the whole property and the cows easily as we drove in (that little bridge IS pretty fun to drive over when you're riding in the trunk!)

Arriving at the site we were happily surprised that the Yurt was much larger than we expected and SO COOL! We easily could fit 10 people all nice and cozy, but with a full + a twin size air mattress plus two single person cots for 5 people it was very roomy. The bonfire, picnic table and swing were really nice to have as well and the space felt very open and level and being right on the border of a big field and the woods was a nice balance of scenery. We even had a little gate at the campsite/woods fence for easy access to go exploring!

OH MY GOSH AND THE BATHROOM! BEST. BATHROOM. TENT. EVER!

We're definitely not first time campers and let me tell you, there was a REAL TOILET SEAT with a box built around it so it felt more like a real toilet and A PRIVACY TENT and everything! Honestly such a nice change from the typical bucket and pool noodle in the woods situation we've experienced at other Hipcamps - LOL!

Although it was cloudy and we weren't able to see too many stars, we could tell that on a clear night it would've been gorgeous since some even showed through the clouds, and she wasn't kidding about the sunrises and sunsets! We noticed the horizon at literally the perfect time to watch as the moon rose up (HUGE and BRIGHT ORANGE) and then slipped away out of sight into the clouds after about 5 minutes. Super cool, but don't try and record it - trust us, it won't do it justice lol just enjoy it!

I will say the one thing i was worried about when planning this trip was finding a Hipcamp that was private so we could play music and have lights on at night, and while this campsite was not 100% private, we forgot all about it once we settled in because it FELT private enough for us. You could see some neighboring houses off in the distance, the campsite still felt secluded being that it was tucked into the edge of the woods. We were playing music at night but couldn't even hear it when we walked across the field a little ways to look for stars so we knew we could keep it at full volume (FOR OUR SPEAKER - Please still test yours and be considerate) and not be bothering anyone. Great set up, truly.

Overall, I would 100% recommend this campsite to anyone looking for a great time and a peaceful, affordable getaway with friends/family. We are just so grateful to Shannon for sharing her space with us and allowing us the opportunity to ground ourselves in nature and make some wonderful memories.

11/10 highly recommend, go ahead and book that trip and have yourself a grand ole time like we did!

Thank you so much Shannon! Can't wait to be back!

Chickeys!!Our Yurt at night with the northern lights projector inside - SO Cool!some local mushrooms doing their thangThis was the view from the field we drove through on the way in - super spacious!

(I highly recommend string lights instead of flashlights, we had three sets of 33 foot battery powered lights from amazon and they were the perfect length for this space)

We just got back from a stay at Shannon's campsite and would definitely recommend it. We were 2 families with a bunch of young kids, and the spot was perfect. The kids loved feeding the chickens, and Shannon was a responsive and very friendly host. The site itself was spacious and quiet, across a field from a farmhouse.

Shannon and Larry are wonderful! "Glamping" (glamor camping) was the perfect option for my 8.5-year old daughter and I as we previously participated in their Hatch the Chicken program. We were able to visit the chicks we hatched (now 4 weeks old) to see their incredible growth and camped overnight in the very large, well accommodated tent! We built a nice fire over which we cooked dinner and spent more time than expected playing on the outdoor swing/bed! So much fun! We will definitely be back and look forward to experiencing all that The Abundance Farm has to offer! Thanks again for taking care of us, Shannon and Larry!
Oh, and don't forget to pick up some farm fresh eggs- we left with 2 dozen. :D

So glad you guys came back! I'm sure your chickens felt the same way :o) It was wonderful to see how much you cared about your daughter and I loved the enthusiasm and love of learning you both seemed to share! We'll post it online when we start doing Movie Nights out on the barn wall this Spring. Hopefully we can lure you folks back!
