There are separate campsites available. Rodborough Vale is 600 acres with a combination of creek flats, native bushland and rocky volcanic outcrops. A working sheep property with some cropping, It is home to the well known Rodvale Border Leicester Stud. Farming in harmony with the native fauna and flora, guests may be able to spot many native species including platypus, wedge tail eagles, kookaburra and many more. Fronting Deep Creek, guests have access to fishing or just sit and listen to the crystal clear water meandering past the campsites. The farm borders Tullaroop Reservoir which is only a ten minute walk from most campsites, there you can find public toilets and picnic areas it is well known for its fly fishing for trout. The boat ramp is around 400m from the front gate and guests are welcome to leave vehicles and trailers on the property for convenience. Note : The reservoir is currently only open to electric powered boats and canoes. Dogs are welcome but must be very well behaved around sheep. Flushing toilet available at the shearing shed. Good access for caravans and large RV's. Local attractions are the historic towns of Maldon, Clunes, Avoca and Dunolly all part of the Central Goldfields.

Island Bend

This was our 2nd stay at Rodborough Vale, and first time at Island Bend Site. The site is fantastic, large and flat, with easy access, so great for tents and caravans/trailers. Its a very private site - couldnt see ir hear other campers at other sites, The birdlife is amazing, and even had some roos visit us on the other side of the creek one evening. Mark is extremely obliging and a great host. Looking forward to our next stay here in the futre.

Spillway View

Great secluded creek side location

Mark's property was great. The flushing toilet was a bit far away as he states in his description, so we got a portaloo for $50 per night. Really enjoyed being next to the creek and the sites were far enough from each other that we never felt bothered by or heard any other guests. Awesome place. Will definitely be back :)
