Sleep with the sheep, alpacas, donkeys, potbellied pigs, and rabbits when you pitch your tent on our Vermont Farm!

An outhouse, community grill, and community fire pit will give you a sense of seclusion, even though your tenting area is only a 5-minute walk from where you park.

Our group site accommodates from 2 campers to 16 campers!

Use the stile to access a path for a 30-second walk up to our open-concept outhouse (complete with a 15-foot clear roof).  It may end up being one of your favorite spots to hang out!

A NOTE ON FIREWOOD:  Our land was logged in the Fall of 2020.  There is wood for years and years and years all over the place.  You might want to bring a small handsaw or a battery-operated saw of some sort or another (You are welcome to bring a charger and plug it in inside our garage).

When you register, we will email you our "welcome kit" (consisting of multiple emails) with directions to the rescue, local resources, local attractions you won't find on Google, nearby hikes, and more (including the WiFi password).

See our other listings!  Click on the link to "Willoughby Farm Animal Rescue" located directly above the site title (Farm Animal Rescue - Group Site) to see our two tent decks, RV site, and glamping site!

Looking for something a bit more private? Embrace the forest and pitch a tent at one of our two private tent decks:

a. Buddha North

b. Grandmother Pine

Each site features a large 8-foot x 10-foot raised deck, a private grill, a picnic table, and a private fire pit.

Don't have a tent?  Then consider sleeping out in The Greenhouse!  You will feel completely connected with nature all around you when you sleep in our 8-foot x 14-foot greenhouse.

Have a trailer or camper van? You can park at our RV site (with 30-amp electric hook-up and WiFi).

Skip those commercial campgrounds, where your tent is 3 feet from the other tents pitched next to you like sardines!  You won't have crowds walking by your site (or going by on bikes) checking out your set-up.

Though you might have a donkey or alpaca come by for a look.

Swim in our three ponds, relax around a campfire, gaze at the stars, take in a movie at a local drive-in, and more.

Money from your camping fees goes directly to supporting the non-profit farm animal rescue! Not only do you have a great time when you camp with us you but you make a difference in the lives of abandoned and abused farm animals!

NOTE: All guests who will be visiting with us must be fully vaccinated.  Individuals are considered fully vaccinated 14 days after their final dose in a COVID-19 vaccine series.  Proof of vaccination required. The farm animal rescue was a very nice place to camp! Scott was very friendly and very helpful in accommodating our needs for our rainy stay. The animals were surprisingly friendly, and fun for our young daughter to interact with.

We had an exceptional trip to Scott’s farm. We played with the animals, trekked through his expansive woods, enjoyed his tours, experienced new farm chores, pitched our tent and warmed up in front of the fire. Scott is a delightful host who has attention to detail and runs his camp with great dynamism. Highly recommend to anyone looking for some adventure and fun.

The animals at this campsite were amazing and beautiful ! The only beloved creatures there that allowed me and my friend to get close to we’re the donkeys :)

As a forever animal lover, I know animals are like children. They require patience and trust from someone new.

The campsite as far as camping goes was alright ! Not the most private of campsites. But if you’re comfortable squatting next to some alpaca, donkey and sheep droppings... I think you won’t mind the stay :)

Thank you for everything Scott !

The other reviews pretty much said it all, this place is great. Alpacas! What?!?!
The host is great too, friendly and interesting and happy to answer our many questions.
If outhouses and alpaca poop aren't your jam, then you probably want to look elsewhere.
I recommend getting the half dozen eggs, might of been the best tasting egg i've had in my entire life.
Also definitely print the directions and all other pertinent info (or save directly to your phone). No cell service well before you reach the tangle of roads that leads up to the place.
I absolutely see myself going back, hopefully in the summer.

We had such a great stay at the farm. The property was beautiful and the animals were so fun to watch and interact with (highly recommend doing the farm tour!) We also did the Kombucha tour and loved it. Scott sent detailed information via e-mail beforehand that was very helpful for directions, arrival, other recommendations, etc. A++ host! Highly recommend a stay here
