Mike was an amazing host and the property was incredible! Mike was extremely helpful getting us setup and showed us how to use the pizza oven. He was super accommodating and gave us a tour of the property. Prompt with communication.
The property itself is a must-see and is one of the coolest places I've camped. You have to check it out!
Beautiful property, great hosts!
Quiet, picturesque ponds and barns, 30 or so curious chickens watch Ed us and our dog from a safe distance. Mike and his family put in the extra effort to make our stay very pleasant. They teamed up to help us make a pizza and calzone in their wood fired pizza oven. We were even able to buy a bottle of his maple syrup. We highly recommend Healing Springs!
Beautiful location along with a great host makes this an
awesome place to stay. Mike is very accommodating and cleared out a spot for our rv in the middle of a field in the rain, couldnt ask for more.
Some great campsites—and pizza!
Mike was welcoming and helpful. He fired up his pizza oven for us and other campers one night—delicious and friendly atmosphere with outdoor tables near the oven. The two campsites up the hill were beautiful—big, private, grassy, and flat with great views. Possible to walk to Shaftsbury State Park which has swimming and is a good place for kids.
This guy is so chill and nice. Thank you to his whole family! The site is amazing. I picked it out and surprised my family with it on our first trip to the Northeast. My husband, my mom and dad and my niece and nephew. They all were immediately charmed. Our spot was near one of the two ponds. It was enchanting. Flowers and frog noises, the chickens and guinea foul roaming the property. His spigot of water was fresh pure and tasty. In the morning I reminded my parents that Hipcamp said the checkout was at 11am I think. The dude came by and told us not to be in a hurry to leave. He made us feel so welcomed! He told us about a park nearby. We walked to the park the first time, drove the second time, (If you've got some older folk with you, you probably wont want to walk there) but it is walkable. The park had a huge pond with an island in the middle. We had so much fun boating around in it and sitting in the shade. It was amazing and my we all wish we had stayed there another night. My husband said we will be back. Downside, I'd say, is that there is little to no cellphone data. I couldn't even check back on all the wonderful things the camp listing said, although the host reminded us of it. Go chill with and feed the chickens and have a peaceful and healing experience. I have to say this, honestly, we did not know how good our experience would be as people of color. This felt like a safe place. And it seemed true immediately that this would indeed be a healing spring.
