This 150-acre property has been in our family for 30 years and now houses three generations. Built in 1900 it was a traditional dairy farm until the 50's and 60's when potatoes were planted on the fields for the Boston and New York markets. By the 70's and 80's it became a gentleman's farm for a retired couple from New York City and the dairy farmers nearby hayed the fields. When we purchased the property in 1993 we continued offering the hay, built greenhouses, planted vegetable and flower gardens, ran a traditional Bed and Breakfast, now airbnb. We leased some of the fields to a local organic seed company for 13 years until they purchased their own property. The farm remains certified organic and is still being hayed by a local dairy farm, the gardens are community managed using regenerative and sustainable practices when ever possible. This year in the commercial garden, seed crops will be planted once again. Much of the cultivated agricultural land is protected under the Vermont Land Trust, to ensure that it remains used for agricultural purposes. We love to share our farm and forest with others. In addition to our very intentional farming operations, you can find wild edibles tucked away on forest trails. Wildlife and wildflowers abound. Views and sunsets. Check out the 968 acre wildlife management area that abuts the property. Plenty of trails through the woods leading to Wolcott Pond and hidden beaver huts and dams. Children 16 and under no charge but before booking please contact us to let us know how many children and we'll send a discount code. so you won't be charged when indicating number of people in your party. Our little pond behind the big greenhouse has filled up a bit more this spring which you are welcome to use for dipping or frog watching. Starting in June the outdoor kitchen and sun showers will be available for guests use. We can host large parties with advance notice.

#6 Upper Field, Mountain View
Our site was #6 and it was very private and spacious. The land itself was gorgeous! When we got there barbara was very nice and showed us how to get to our site. We had gone on a very windy day so we would love to go back when the weather gets nicer.

We had a very memorable stay on Barbara's property for the 2024 eclipse. Thanks so much for hosting us and being flexible by letting us stay late the next day! Would stay again

#1 Easy Access, West View
We recommend Feel Good Farm
All the sites are widely spaced. #1, #2, #6, #7 have great views. Barbara is a wonderful hostess. There was a port-a-pot close to #1 when we visited and there is a permanent, clean outhouse between #6 & #7. We highly recommend Feel Good Farm and we expect to return.

#3 Peaceful by woods and field
Stellar Spot for Stargazing
Barbara's farm is awesome, with a charming and cozy atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. We stayed at site #3, which offered a lot of privacy, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the peaceful surroundings. On clear nights, the stargazing here is awe-inspiring, and the daytime scenery is gorgeous. We also appreciated the well-planned layout of the campsites, with ample space between each site. Overall, we had an incredible experience at Barbara's Hipcamp and would gladly camp here again, as the combination of the cute farm setting, accommodating host, private campsites, beautiful scenery, and prime stargazing opportunities make this a great destination for any camping enthusiast.

#8 Community Garden
My wife, Carolyn, and I were Barbara's guests during the weekend of the Total Eclipse. We had a wonderful time. Barbara is a very gracious hostess and we could not have been happier with our accommodations. It is a beautiful location with wonderful views and plenty of walking trails. We made a new friend in Barbara and we will definitely be returning in the future. Highly recommended.

#5 Tucked into the woods
We showed up for the eclipse after a freak snowstorm and Barbara went above and beyond to make us comfortable. She and her whole family were wonderful and we had a blast. We will 100% be back!
