Loved the site. Essentially a bunch of campsites on a big backyard hill. You can see their house from the hill, may seem weird for a second but you realize (1) they leave you alone, (2) they can’t really see you through the giant plants in front of each campsite which give you a lot of privacy. The night view was AMAZING because of the hill and open sky. Didn’t even have to look “up” just had to look forward and the night sky filled the view. They had solid fire rings and David delivered a tractor full of dry firewood for a low price right to your site. We’ll worth it. The campsites are grassy and surrounded by wild grasses and plants. Even with an other campsites filled nearby the setup gave us a lot of privacy. The noise levels were in our favor all around- we could play music at levels that you couldn’t hear down the hill. Had to go up a hill to the campsite- not a big deal, maybe a little weird if there’s lots of rain but you should be good. No issues for trucks. The best part, however, was the outhouse. I’ve seen some beautiful ones in the past but this one took the Gold Medal. Pristine. Sawdust for the aftermath. No bugs or cobwebs. The ceiling was a skylight. Toilet paper, hand sanitizer, no smell. It was, pun intended, the shit. I’m building an identical one the second I get a chance.

Great Hipcamp run by David and Lisa. Easy to find and it's a beautiful property. David greeted myself and my friends when we arrived and he is just a fantastic host. Both sites had a firepit and the outhouse was one of the better ones I've used. Views are beautiful and the sites are spread out so you have privacy. Great place.

What a spot! David and Lisa have a lovely handful of camping spaces that offer a clear view to the Northwestern sky. I chose an open field spot, but they have a few in the trees as well. A fireplace and a level space were ideal for a peaceful night. Turkeys, owls, and song birds provided the soundtrack. They were great hosts. I will stay there again for sure.

The location feels very remote, although not far from Bethel and I-89. Quiet and no ambient light. I was there for just one night in mid-April 2022 and was the only camper. This is mud season in Vermont and the camping site was wet, although it would not discourage me from another stay. (I was in a small camper, not a tent.) Hosts were very responsive and helpful!

David and Lisa have a beautiful property that was perfect for a fall weekend of camping! David met us when we arrived and made sure we had what we needed to enjoy our stay. The property is close to a ton of hiking and mountain biking as well as great VT towns. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic site, great views, felt very private. Good sun all day long for our solar panels. Would definitely stay here again. Potable water available from laundromat in nearby South Royalton. Lots of hiking in the area.
