Description

Lose yourself—metaphorically, of course—in the seclusion of the Desert Peak Wilderness at the humble but mighty Intake Campground. Venture down the gravel road through the South Willow Canyon to reach this isolated campground, which is sheltered by a small forest of cottonwood and box elder trees. With little chance of bumping into a crowd, you’ll feel alone in the company of the impressive Stansbury Mountains. Soak in the mightiness of the mountains from your campsite, or grab your hiking stick and challenge yourself to reach the 11,031-foot summit of Desert Peak.
