Description
Located at the north end of the Taylor Mountain Plateau, Kaler Hollow Campground is the place to land if you’re into daredevil adventure. Off-Highway Vehicles can tear through the forest terrain in the areas north and south of the campground, and the Forest Service offers a free detailed map of the areas open to unrestricted use. If hiking is your thing, the Old Carter Military Trail passes through the campground, or you can venture off further and explore the Big Brush Creek Cave—the second longest cave in Utah at 4.92 miles and 858 feet deep. Anytime that there's no snow, you can drive right up to the trail, but if you do go in the winter, ice crystals sparkle along the ceilings and ice structures over 20 feet long grace this wintertime ice palace.
