in Kevin M.’s Land, Nova ScotiaThis is an epic spot, facing the ocean, full exposure to the wind and the glorious swirl of the elements on Cape Breton -- beautiful plot of grassy land carved out, ideal for car or tent camping; cool fire pit and plenty of wood. Kevin was a great and helpful host -- highly recommend!
Oceanside Lavender, Paradise!

This is just hands down one of the coolest vibey spots of land I've ever been to ... on the planet. There's just something super special about it. Beautifully and tastefully carved out sites, with tremendous vantage and exposure to the Bay of Fundy; and the most sublime sunset you'll ever see. And Andy and his wife were the most generous and gracious hosts. If you stay one place in Nova Scotia -- make this the one.
Mouth of the Magaguadavic
in Villa Maria, New BrunswickDon't miss this spot!
This little gem of a spot, just outside the Bay of Fundy -- is not to be missed. Tucked away on a gorgeous, rocky peninsula with breath-taking views of the Magaguadavic's entrance into the bay -- and the coolest extreme of tides in and out you'll ever see. Paul was the most easy-going, kind and accommodating host, with tons of history info and insights to offer about the area and plenty of space and amenities to offer. Cant recommend it enough!
White Oaks Mountain Top Getaway
in Million Dollar View!, VermontMost beautiful mountains & sunset
This place is magical. The most perfectly situated and cleared, level camp sites, facing layers of mountains and beautiful open field all around. Nick is a completely chill and attentive host, met us when we got to the property with fire wood. Simple to access the property, easy to get in and out. All around perfect location for car or tent camping. Cant recommend this place highly enough.

A slice of Norwegian woods in VA
in Anders' Virginia Woods, VirginiaGem of a spot!
Andi and Lindsey have a beautiful little nook right over the border into Virginia, super convenient off Rt 81. The spacious land behind their home is filled with all the sounds of nature and feels secluded and peaceful. Great space for a campfire and plenty of good dry wood which they made available to me for free. Super nice people and super highly recommended!
ADK Mountain View Campground
in ADK Mountain View, New YorkAstonishingly beautiful.
This place is a dream. It pains me to recommend it so, in the most selfish sense, just cause I'd like to keep it all for myself. But what kind of person/HipCamper would do that?? It's truly one of the most beautiful lil plots of the planet I've ever had the pleasure of being on. Sarah and her husband were the most gracious, hands on/hands off host imaginable. Everything you needed and wanted and nothing you didn't. Thanks. Thanks. Thanks.
JW’s Camp

Erik's land is a little gem. A lovely spot and nice spaces to park or pitch a tent, facing acreage behind his house. Also a lovely trail through the woods for a morning or evening stroll. Erik was very welcoming and friendly; there's a pump with fresh water and access to electric for re-charging. An all-around great experience, on a great piece of land and a great host.
