Past trips
Riverside Camp
in Burrum River Orchard, QueenslandWe had a wonderful stay at Dan's Campsite for 9 nights from Boxing Day. The site is well maintained with good access to the Burrum River with its own boat ramp.
The camp is midday between Burrum Heads and Howard so plenty of access to supplies and just 20 minutes down the road to Hervey Bay.
A bonus if you arrive at the right time of year are the awsome bowen mangoes.
Thank you Dan.
Mary River Farmstay - The River
in Mary River Farmstay, QueenslandEukaburra Private Campground
in EukaBurra, QueenslandWe enjoyed our 4 night stay in Eukaburra Campground.
The campsites are spacious, level, quiet and mossie free during our stay.
What makes this site oustanding is that it can be used as a base to explore the surrounding world class tourist destinations.
Beach, Noosa River, Markets, and for us dog parks like Noosa Heads Doggie Beach and Stumers Creek near Coolum.
We will come back.
Bush Camp on the Warrill Creek
in Bush Camp on the Warrill Creek, QueenslandWe had a delightful 3 night stay at one of the best hipcamp sites around.
Very friendly and helpful hosts and some free fire wood thrown in.
A big bonus is it is so close to Ipswich. Took less than an hour to travel to the site.
Next to Warrill Creek which runs all year fed from the dam upstream. Plenty of space between large level sites and nice and quiet.
Visiting the Camels on the other side of the creek might be a good outing. Next time for us.
Awsome.
Seehorse Meadows
in Seehorse Meadows, QueenslandA new camp that soon be very busy
We stayed at Seehorse Meadows over Easter 2021. What a great place. First hipcampers to do so.
Heaps of room, no traffic noise, great hosts and 2 magical dams to camp next to. Plenty of rain at the moment.
Lots of interesting farm animals to pat and watch.
Only 1.5 hours from Brisbane and close to Gatton and Plainlands from supplies.
We will definately be back.
Lyalls Lair
in Buxton Bush Camp, QueenslandWe stayed for 4 nights over the Australia day break and very much enjoyed our stay. A beautiful place by the Isis river. The shower was very appreciated.
Camp sites are large although things get a bit busy on the holiday weekends as you would expect.
We didnt get to wet a line as the winds were strong most days but this worked in our favor in keeping the midgies at bay.
I enjoyed my stay.
Sandy Point River Camp Parking Site
in Sandy Point River Camp, New South WalesBuranga Farm
in Buranga Farm, QueenslandWe enjoyed our stay and felt very safe.
The location is close to many attractions but free from the rush of schoolies and holiday crowds till you are ready to face them.
Bli Bli Valley Farm—River Campsites
in Bli Bli Valley Farm, QueenslandWe really enjoyed this spot. Its quiet and well back from the roads. Plenty of shops nearby and the creek is beautiful. Lots to do in the area.
We will be back
Monet's Garden General Campsites
in Monet's Garden, New South WalesWe stayed for 4 nights over the Australia Day weekend. Great place by the creek and green. Very relaxed and spread out with 8 vans and just 5km from the shops. Will stay again
Nomads Rest Caravan and Bush camp
in Nomads Rest Caravan & Camping, QueenslandWe stayed at Nomads Rest for 5 nights between Christmas and New Year. The campground is spacious, has a nice natural feel and is an excellent base for exploring the surrounding countryside that has many highlights.
The dam is a bit low and the creek not flowing due to the drought but it still OK.
