Oaks, walnuts, dogwoods, and sycamores. Shinrin'yoku is Japanese for "forest bathing." When we bought this land, that is exactly what we enjoyed doing. Learn more about this land:
Far away from people but close to Grand Lake o' the Cherokees, this site offers the peace you seek. Recharge your mental batteries by just listening to the breeze rustling the leaves in the treetops. Forest bathe in the beauty of the fall colors. The Japanese call it shinrin'yoku. At night you can fall asleep to the subtle forest sounds while staying warm and toasty with the help of a propane heater. Watch for the deer passing through on their way for their morning corn ration and keep an eye out for hawks. Beware the thieving raccoons though!
