Welcome to The Oasis campsite situated in the desert overlooking the incredible Terlingua Creek! This quiet spot is perfect for a getaway right near Big Bend National/State Park. In fact, the entrance is a mere 3 miles from your campsite!

Come pitch your tent or park your camper amid the peaceful desert hillside with views of plateaus that lead to the Chisos Mountains in Big Bend National Park. There is a fire pit on site for you toast marshmallows or cozy up near, and you can enjoy a bite to eat at the picnic table provided at each site. The picnic tables are placed beneath shade sails.

There are two nice and new desert tan flushing Porta Potties on site, as well as showers for guests to use. They come in handy after a long day hiking!

We hope you'll enjoy the beautiful open sky sunsets, sunrises, and stargazing as much as we do!

We are located just 3 miles from the entrance to Big Bend National Park! There are plenty of opportunities to get out and explore - you can hike, bike, canoe & kayak, off road, swim, go horse back riding, visit hot springs, as well as visit restaurants, galleries, and listen to great music in Terlingua. There is something for everyone to feel free to bring the whole family!

Other Things to Note:

- You can stay connected if you'd like to, as cell reception and wifi are both available on our property. Feel free to unplug during your stay though!

- Seeing other campers on your trip at the campsite is very standard, as the sites are far enough apart to feel like they are yours, but they are not private.

- Potable water is provided on site!

Please feel free to reach out with any questions and we look forward to your stay!

Huge thanks to Jason for such a great stay. Right when we arrived, they welcomed us to take cover as we waited for the rain to pass. We ended up chatting with Jason and friend- wonderful people! They run an incredible place to camp- goats and dogs to hang out with if you want! Also the showers were a huge bonus. They even offered up the Yurt for us to use so we didn’t have to set up a tent since it was available that night. Look forward to going back and staying again this year!

This place is great! It’s not necessarily for the new camper, but great fire pit, can park the car next to your site, outdoor showers up at the entrance with cool chill area, clean port-a-potty’s, shade sail at each site, incredible views, incredible star gazing and very close to the entrances of both the National and State parks.
We will definitely camp here again 🤙🏼

The host was friendly and responsive and his land is amazing.
Situated close to Big Bend NP in Terlingua this is a perfect spot to stock up on supplies or rest before/after hiking and adventure.
Hot showers and a plug for my water pot for coffee was wonderful.

We loved staying here! Here are a few of our observations and experiences:
-the hosts were really friendly. They live in a house next to where the showers and water are located!
-they offered us to stay in their yurt that is under construction on a night where it was super windy!! We took up their offer and it was wonderful.
-the showers were AMAZING. You could have cold or hot water quickly and they felt so wonderful after a day at Big Bend.
-we were the only ones there during the time that we stayed and so we had all of the sites to choose from! We chose one on the opposite side of the hill towards the corner, and it offered a ton of privacy.
-we loved how we were so close to a gas station, Terlingua ghost town, big bend, and the company we booked our river tour with while also feeling so remote.
-the site we chose had beautiful views of the sunset! This was great, but also meant that the sun was beating down on us right as we were making dinner.
-the water is potable there, but we ended up buying most of our drinking water from the gas station, as we were hot and needed cold and better-tasting water!
-the dirt road was rough on our Toyota Corolla, but that is to be expected when going out to the desert!
-we felt very safe and this was one of our favorite sites to stay at!
-they had really cute baby goats and lots of dogs!
-there are porta potties around that are nice, but are definitely just porta potties- so nothing fancy and pretty gross still.

The campsite was clean and remote. The views were amazing. There was a shaded canopy over the picnic table. A small fire with a grill on it. The outdoor showers were amazing! Hot water and fresh air. Will definitely come back to camp again.

Wow. Everything about this place was an experience I’ll never forget! The stars speak for themselves if you get the chance to see them! Campsites we’re well equipped and had all of the necessities. Far enough out to feel like you are alone, but close to town for activities. Couldn’t have asked for a better location and host. Thanks for everything Jason! We will definitely be back the next time we venture into the desert 🤙 Also thank you to Ron for giving us some water when we were in need!!
