Clarksville’s downtown boasts a classic turn of the century square with Victorian style buildings. The downtown square is a gathering place for numerous social events and festivals. The monument area, on the downtown historic Clarksville Square, is also home to numerous historic markers, museums, boutique shops, antique shops, gift shops & small dining. For those outdoor lovers, the Lennox Woods Preserve is located 10 miles North of Clarksville on TX Hwy 37 and Langford Lake Nature Trail is located at Langford Lake on the north side of the city. For those that like to hunt, the Wade Witmer Memorial Hog Hunt sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce is held from Feb. 28th - Mar. 3rd, Wildcat Creek Quail Hunting Resort hosts Women in the Outdoors during the month of June & Clarksville is known for being the Wild Turkey Capital and they can be hunted during Spring between Apr. 22 - May 14.
