(Please note-there is no air conditioning here, but we do provide a fan.) Our off-grid campsite features a vintage remodeled camper, a rustic screened-in outdoor kitchen, an outdoor and indoor shower, and 5 acres of private nature for you to explore.  Our space has solar panels for electricity (we do have power at night from batteries), filtered rain water, and is the perfect glamping retreat into nature for those wishing to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. We're close to several wineries and breweries, too if you feel like getting out!

Our campsite is private and secluded but sound does carry so please just be mindful of us and our neighbors. Since we're in the Texas country, there's a chance you may hear gunshots from neighbors during your stay. It's very sporadic and doesn't last long, but we want to be as transparent as possible!

The camper does have a small heater so it will take the chill out, but note that the airstream is from 1966 and the windows aren't fully sealed. If you require higher end accommodations, check out our off grid cabin on Hipcamp!

This unique campsite was designed and built by my husband Eugene and myself (we live in another cabin on the other side of the hill from this spot). It was created to provide a perfect balance between being highly immersed in nature but still comfortable. It was constructed from reclaimed materials and with minimal waste and features a vintage Avion camper fully refurbished with beautiful hardwood and minimal but thoughtful design. Inside the camper is a queen sized bed, a small writing desk, a record player with some classic albums, a comfy reading chair and plenty of storage space.

We also have a listing called Off Grid Cabin, if you're interested, btw.

Electricity is provided by a 2600 Watt solar system and can be used for anything EXCEPT heating elements (iron, hair dryer, curling iron, toasters, etc). There is some power at night, provided by deep cycle batteries that are charged by the sun during the day but PLEASE turn off lights etc before bed or the batteries may be drained by morning. There are several wall outlets situated in the camper and kitchen and bathroom.

1800 gallons of rain water are collected in tanks nearby and provide the space with filtered water.

The kitchen is fully functional with a small fridge, large sink, 2 burner gas stovetop, coffee/tea (French press coffee maker). It's fully stocked with pots, pans, dishes, utensils, salt, pepper, and oil. We also have a charcoal grill with bbq utensils.

The stand alone bathroom has a lovely shower that uses filtered rain water, a sink for washing up, and a composting toilet. There's an additional outdoor shower.

There is no WIFI here, but there is a cell signal with most providers that works in the kitchen area. Camper doesn't get much service. The library in town has WIFI if you find yourself in need. The idea is that you come here to retreat into nature, to purposefully disconnect from social media and also from WIFI signals, power lines, etc.

We have a backyard fire pit for you to use as long as a burn-ban isn't in effect. You must bring your own wood for the fire pit. There is a clearly marked private trail so please don't cross boundary lines or you could be trespassing.Since this is Texas, you may come across fire ants, scorpions, snakes, and other bugs and critters during your stay.Other things to noteOur driveway is gravel and rough in spots. You'll need to drive it slowly and carefully but luckily the scenery is beautiful!
