Beautiful and relaxing
Jim made sure you had everything you needed. The area is beautiful to explore, and you always have a comfy bed and clean bathroom to go back to. We brought tons of books to read while watching the lily pond, our dogs laid on their beds and we just enjoyed the peace. Jim even gave us a tour of his other treehouse he’s building nearby. It was a great experience and I’ve already recommended to my friends as the perfect get away close to Austin.
The directions to get there were quite helpful. This place is a bit harder to find in the dark once on the property.
The attention to detail was super cute inside. We loved the space heaters, all of the signs, and Tolkien memorabilia. The bed was comfy and cozy. The space was charming and well thought out. We thought the space was perfect for two people plus a pup.
We appreciated the tools for cooking that were there along with the small fridge. People should know to bring their own cooking knives, olive oil and seasonings if cooking. The grill was quite helpful.
My husband is a huge LOTR fan. We chose to stay in this magnificent treehouse to celebrate his 50th birthday. We were amazed by the craftmanship and details all around. Jim drove us around the property on his ATV and gave a quick, fun tour. Our stay was magical and memorable. We give the highest marks possible. We will definitely be back.
Magical tree house
We love staying at tree houses and so far the Hobbit's nest is our favorite. We love the little details and design of the tree house, we enjoyed the view of the pond in the morning and at relaxed evenings. We love cooking and relaxing by the fire. The host
James is very nice and accommodating. We were able to unwind on our 10th year anniversary and plan to come back soon with our kids.
A magical place
We had such a relaxing time at the Hobbit’s Nest. It’s really a beautiful and thoughtful work of art. It’s also nestled in the perfect spot in the woods. Sitting outside by the fire in the morning was wonderful. Beautiful sights and sounds!
