Awesome & well-equipped campground!
Dos Rios campground was the perfect spot for a camping getaway on the Llano River! The tent sites were well equipped with fire pits, picnic tables, and a grill and offered plenty of space and privacy to set up camp. The bathhouse was just a short walk from our campsite and had a well-kept shower, toilet, and large sink for washing dishes and getting potable water. Tammy was a great host and helped us rent a canoe and book a second night super easily! We loved paddling down the river from the campground and spending time by the water fishing. I would definitely stay here again!
Do not stay here. ever.
Do not stay here. This was by far the worst camping experience I’ve ever had. When I got to the campsite, it was completely infested with ants and there was no spot big enough for the tent that didn’t have an ant hill. I tried calling the numbers listed by the host, and all numbers went straight to voicemail. So I drove to the front where a staff member was asleep in their car. I explained the situation, and the staff member said they had to drive to the manager to find out if we could use another site. They said they would let me know when they found out, but 30 minutes later I hadn’t heard anything so I went back up there and they had not moved or contacted the manager. I finally decided to just find an open site and hope it wasn’t reserved. Then, there were other people staying in cabins who were outside screaming and playing loud music until after 2am. The staff isn’t helpful, and the place is awful for camping.
Great family or couple camping spot
Our family loved this site, we did the tent camping for a weekend getaway and could not recommend more. Super close to the water, great rental options, came with a cute bistro setup, fire pit, bbq and hammock! The site manager was super friendly and we felt super safe.
