Hill country peace and quiet.
This was a perfect spot for us. It was extremely quiet and peaceful. Even tho' Hwy 29 was a short distance away, the sounds did not impact our visit. We had an enjoyable stroll down the dirt road. I look forward to returning.
The coyotes really brought it home.
The place was GREAT! Very secluded and well maintained. The Grove #3 is where I set up. Nice little clump of trees provided after noon shade and really enhanced the sound of the breeze. Ground was very level and debris free, just a few sticks and a rock or two. When the sun went down the coyotes started their songs. As the night went on the sky kept getting darker & darker. With the clear sky the Milky Way was bright and a sea of stars filled the heavens. Super quiet! I look forward to visiting again. Thank you for your Hospitality. A wonderful place!
Rancho Ciela Plata was gorgeous and well kept campground. The star were amazing and clear enough to see the milky way!! My dog, partner and I had a great time exploring and camping here. Would recommend! Bring plenty of water and shade!
Very nice spot to get away to. Trees for shade. Close to public access to the Llano River. Easy access off the highway. Other than a couple cell tower lights at night there was no sight or sound of civilization intruding on the wonderful (and few) sounds of nature.
Be aware that the sign for dirt road 103a is on the fence, not roadside on 29. Enjoy!
