There are approximately 1/4 mile of trails around the property and along the creek that runs along the southern border. You can also wander further down the dirt road. Precautions will be necessary during September through December when wandering off the road as the property is surrounded by a hunt club.

This year in 2020 we have added three beehives and two young Meyer lemon trees to accompany the mature sour orange trees. There are wild blackberries, muscadine grapes, and mulberry trees during different parts of the summer.

You can sometimes see a variety of wildlife such as squirrels, deer, wild hogs, bobcat, along with a variety of snake species both poisonous (several different rattle snakes, water moccasins, and coral snakes) as well as some beautiful king snakes and rat snakes. There are also a pair of red tail hawks living in the area, owls, bats, and woodpeckers.

These campsites are dry-camping and boondocking only so please come prepared (generators are allowed). There is plenty of room for recreation like corn hull, frisbee and even practicing your golf drive. Hanging a hammock is also encouraged. Don't forget to bring your fur babies. There are no leash laws here but we do ask that your pet be kept under control.

If you plan on staying in the area for a few days you can also enjoy a canoe trip in Village Mills located approximately 30 minutes south. If you have your own canoe or kayak there is no charge and pets are welcome. There are also a couple of places that rent boats and provide shuttle service.

This property has been COVID-19 free all year!

Tamara was so welcoming and kind! Her property was beautiful and we had a wonderful spot close to the trees where we could see the stars. I would definitely go again!

My son and I were chased out of our campsite at Village Creek. In a desperate attempt to save the weekend, I made a SUPER last minute booking. I booked around 7pm and arrived at 7:40. Tamara was more than attentivr and prepared for me regardless. She and her delighful gentleman of a dog greeted us and directed us to a beautiful well kept open field and told me to pitch my tent anywhere.
It was a lovely area. The mosquitoes were minimal, the grass flies were expected but not too bothersome. We were able to grab one of the fire rings they have on site and make a fire. There were dozens of fireflies at dusk. It was great!
We heard some deer checking us out in the middle of the night and I am sure the birdwatching here would be amazing. There are a couple hiking trails and plenty of neat little places to explore all over the property.

We were driving through from CO to FL in our teardrop camper, . One mile off the road very secluded and quit. Full moon was fantastic. Great spot to stop and sleep for the night. Tamara was a great host.

A wonderful place to stay. Hosts were very friendly and the property was open and spacious. We had no cell service (T-Mobile), but that ended up being a plus. Would diffenetly visit again.

Diane, so glad you enjoyed your stay. Cell service is mostly Verizon but AT&T moved in late last year, so there's hope for T-Mobile. Hope to see you again. Safe travels.

I made the mistake of not checking the weather accurately, so i arrived right after rain. I will say the site looked to be very promising in dryer weather. My fiance and i walked into the forest and found several secluded camp sites that look forward to exploring more!
