Find peace at this private campsite close to Watts Bar Lake. Nestled in the tall trees, your large, private site features a fire pit, picnic table, and a “Tennessee Bathroom.” Site is nearly 100% shaded all day long. The area is surprisingly quiet. Deer, turkey, turtles, frogs, and cardinals have all been seen on the property. Before you exit your tent in the morning, stay quiet and look out first - who knows what you might see. Parking is right next to the site. Watts Bar Lake is within a few hundred yards and a public boat ramp is just about 3 minutes down the road. Watts Bar is over 72 miles long, 722 miles of shoreline, and is known for good fishing, kayaking, birdwatching, and other recreation. This is a good base for day trips to Knoxville, Chattanooga, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and Smoky Mountain National Park. Note: Bring your own tent/supplies, or options include tent and/or propane tank rental. Pack out your own food, animal, and human waste. As this is private property, it is still the woods of Tennessee, so expect all that goes along with that. This property is in development, so added lodging and amenities will come on line in the future. We welcome your feedback. Shiloh @ Watts Bar - Tent

We loved our night at Craig’s spot! We were just passing through for the night but really wish we could’ve stayed longer to enjoy the space some more. Our dog had plenty of room to stretch her legs and sniff around, and our camper van fit perfectly into the parking spot next to camp. Craig also came out to say hello and we enjoyed chatting for a bit with him! His land is quiet and made for a great night’s sleep.

Beautiful and peaceful stay! Craig had a wonderful set up with easy access. We were so thankful to stay the night there last minute on our road trip. Craig was very accommodating and quick to respond. We would definitely stay again!

Peaceful and quite little spot

Great site!!! Came in for an overnight pass thru. Arrived late at 9pm and Craig came out and met me and made sure I had everything I needed. Site was very clean with a nice fire pit and picnic table as well as a compost toilet in a pre setup private tent. Very peaceful and quiet. Would recommend!

Loving the serenity and the beauty

Craig was a life saver. Needed a place to crash in town for the night to come help my aunt at her new home. Last minute Craig was there to answer the call. Thank you man was a wonderful piece of property and the next time I’m in town I know where to go and get away from all the city lights and noise. Thank you again

Not quiet but welcoming host

Craig was very kind and welcoming. Unfortunately, there were dogs in a neighboring property barking throughout the night, so we didn't get the quiet we were hoping for. The site Wifi doesn't work and there is no cell service, so just be prepared and aware of this. Otherwise, the site was clean and nicely set up.
