"Rowin With The Flo"
Recommend. Good Weekend Off
What a place. A lake on top of a mountain in the Smokey Mountains! Felt like a small version of Big Bear Lake when we stayed there just not the trail systems they invested into in the Big Bear Lake community. Private boat/fishing dock with a small fire pit at the bottom and top of the staircase. Two boats, the paddle boat was flooded so I never attempted to mess around with either that or the flat bottom fishing boat. My wife any I cleaned up the covered boat dock when we got there. Kind of looked like the family before us just left in a hurry, yard games spread about the boat dock shelter and privacy screens tipped over. I needed a weekend away from the city and it definitely provided that!! So I recommend the spot, especially when you’re lucky enough to get some nice weather. But be prepared to work hard to get the boats out in the pristine waters.

Overall we enjoyed our stay. However, it wasn’t quite what we expected. The pictures of the deck showed a very clean well kept area but when we arrived it was strewn with old moldy rotting games and was just cluttered and very messy. The paddle boat and fishing boat were not in any condition to be used. The paddle boat was filthy and full of water. The deck was messy with remnants of previous guests. The camping area is literally on the road. I just had higher expectations especially for $80 a night. The pictures didn’t reflect reality and I just wish I would have known that prior to booking. It was the most expensive of all the other spots we were choosing from and while we made the best of it, I was disappointed.

It is a beautiful area with plenty of privacy. The site was clean and well taken care of. A great place to go for some "rest & relaxation!"

We found the campsite easily and great parking . The pavilion was great for us !! We brought a tent to use but ended up sleeping on a air matress under the pavilion. AMAZING !! My husband and I are workaholics and dont get enough time away just for each other and this was absolutely perfect for us . It was private enough for us . The pavillion had some curtains and we put up a tarp for added privacy . The huge porch swing couch and picnic tables were a huge plus ! The porch / fishing area next to lake was good for morning coffee and catching fish . I promise this fish story is true .... somewhere in that tiny lake is a 30lb. Catfish that took everything off my rod it one bite and yes I saw the fish !! It was an amazing 2 day getaway and we will definately rent again . Thank you so much for letting us enjoy your beautiful place .

Excellent camping spot. A beautiful little lake. Quiet, except of course for the roosters :).
