Loved our time at this location and will go back again. Very peaceful, surrounded by bush with no houses in sight. Road only 70m away but not very much traffic. Host was good. Had firewood, weber BBQ, chairs, table etc for us to use so couldn't ask for anymore than that.

This was a beautiful place. A perfect bush camp with lovely surrounds and privacy. Tucked up in the hills not very far for Devonport. We were able to drive off the Spirit Of Tasmania and straight there. The owner was very helpful and accommodating. We loved our stay!

What a beautiful spot to spend the night camping. Sam has done a great job creating 4 private campsites that make you feel like you’ve got the place to yourself. He’s a really nice bloke as well and his mate Terry (a scruffy little 4-legged) will make you feel right at home.

The photo of the lake and woodland attracted us, but in reality there was no sign of a lake and we were just parked in the bush. It would have been better to find a free camp by a nearby dam. Not worth it.

The photo's of the lake and "woodland" were taken by my self, the lake takes a bit of a walk to get to like most things, you don't get to see just sitting in your campervan, eating truffles. I explained to you about the limited WiFi connection, you said that it was not an issue, then complain about it in a public review. I don't understand why you didn't vent your disappointment with me. I would have personally refunded your booking fee then helped you get your van out safely. The drive way entrance is 4m wide, if you struggle to get through a gap that wide probably shouldn't be on the road. Yet you managed to park your van on a slab only 3.8 m wide? Go back to Byron, eat your saffron, sip your herbal tea and connect to your WiFi. There is very limited free camping available in the area so good luck with that one.

Very peaceful and relaxing .
Host is super friendly will even provide firewood to use in fire pit.
Road out front can be noisy but that is minimal annoyance compared to the surroundings

For those thinking of a stunning camping getaway, Sam's place is the perfect stay and the perfect place to find peace in nature.

The property has ample camping spaces that come with a fire pit and free firewood. There are also a few water holes and a dam for kids swimming activities and bathing.

Additionally, the property is situated 15kms from Forth, 15kms from Spreyton (and the famous Spreyton Cidery), and roughly 15kms from Sheffield - a stunning little mural town.

There is also the Forth River 10kms away for fishing and swimming and for those wanting to go boating, Lake Barrington is literally 20kms away where you will also discover the spectacular Forth Falls.

Sam is a brilliant host ensuring that you are settled in, have everything you need, and is more than willing to assist where possible.

All in all, a 5 Star Campground that is worth its weight and gold!

So do yourself a favour and support Sam's brilliant vision of unique camping on a secluded property.

PS. Thanks, Sam for a brilliant stay. I loved everything minute of it including the bucketing rain haha!

Gorgeous spot! Stunning.
Sam the host was absolutely lovely. Made us a fire pit, brought some wood and even some fresh fruit/veg out of his garden. Took our daughter to meet the duck, chickens & pigs which was her highlight! He even stood out in the rain to help us pack up our trailer!!!
We will be rebooking and bringing along family next time!
Wonderful experience. Five stars!

Great spot to camp and Sam was very accomodating (thanks for the beer and firewood). A peaceful and perfect place to avoid the competitive caravan parks and free camping spots in the area. Recommend parking yourself next to the creek.
