La Tuque has a population of 11,000 and is unique for a couple of reasons: It is the largest city by area in Canada, and in the centre of it all are a ski hill with a bunch of natural recreation opportunities, trails, a riverfront with marinas, and lush forest. There’s plenty to do in La Tuque without snow too—take a quad tour, hit the BMX park, take a sightseeing flight out over the area, or sample beers at the microbrewery.
