Lovely place surprisingly close to Cairns city, but isolated. Steve (the owner) is the nicest guy and such a great help, also very quick a replying. Great view too

The campsite is in a fantastic location. Great view of cairns, closer to town than most alternatives and 15-20 minutes walk to stoney creek falls and swimming hole.

The campsite is in a state of transition and has a large amount of construction material in piles around the area.

Steve’s communication via text was fantastic. The on-site care taker, Sam, was friendly and well mannered

Brilliant view, good amount of level ground. Steve was accomodating and upfront when he rang us about the area. There was no toilet in place when we stayed, water was supplied, power supplied. The steepness of the driveway makes it hard in a standard van, off road small van would be ok but need to improve the lower part of the driveway.
Area is still a bit of a construction site and in rain was very muddy as limited grass. Obviously this is the start of something but needs some work. We were the first people to stay. Steve didn’t think he would get a bite so quick so I am sure the area will be sorted shortly. Good luck as the the area is close to all services but so secluded and as I said brilliant views.

Many thanks for your review Nadine, and thanks for your understanding with the unexpected wet dry season conditions and the ongoing works currently happening at the site but as you said tis is a work in progress and will be improving soon. Re the negatives, I accept most of what you said & did advise that your size caravan might have trouble + the temporary toilets as listed are available and were offered to your husband Shane however he understandably declined due to you having your own (I think?) eg: a chemical toilet in a specific pop up toilet tent shelter + a pit toilet. The site is a work in progress so will hopefully improve soon & I will try to amend the site descriptions asap to be clearer in these respects and thanks so much again for your stay & effort to review. Regards, Steve
