Mushroom Valley River Camping
There’s no river view, we were led to believe that the sires were private but we were parked 10 meters from 3 young families, which was great I loved interacting with them and being a good neighbour but at 4.45 in the morning, we found ourselves watching children in the water because all the parents were asleep lol we were gone an hour later 😂😂🤣🤣😂😂 I love kids!!! And dogs!!!! And nature, there was just none of the third, we were put in a little mosquito infested hollow beside “ a natural forest” weeds and weeds lol all of which we are happy with for a little privacy. If they change the ad a little it would be much more what people would expect. Privacy is what we were looking for in particular, it was not private even in the most loose of terms. Lovely, but not private. We left after 12 hours, with 3 days booked and paid for and never heard anything from anyone. Only doing this review cause Hipcamp won’t stop asking……. Out xx 💖🌸

Amazing property, we loved our 3 night stay at Mushroom Valley. Beautiful swimming hole, excellent facilities and large grassy sites. 100% recommend for families wanting to get away for a couple of nights.

Beautiful campsite, the water at the creek is so clear and clean. Ben and Ash were very friendly, I would happily stay here again when passing through. Thank you ☺️

Mushroom Valley River Camping
Stayed here 5 or 6 nights over 2 weeks and wish I could have stayed the whole time. The first time we arrived it was night, Ben came out and met us, gave us some stickers, and told us where we could camp. Next day I woke up right before the sun, as usual, and I've never been happier to have such a screwed up sleep pattern because the mornings here are the best. It's not the usual sunrise, you don't get that so much being in a valley, but I think this is better. The sun filters in through the leaves and shines off the water, it's warm but not hot yet, all the different dragonflies are out, the kingfisher is earning his name, and it's silent except the wildlife and water.
The property is great to explore, there are little and big pieces of art scattered all over the place, the way the creek bends means that if you want to have a swim in relative solitude you can, even when most of the sites are booked and there are heaps of kids.
Huge thanks to Ash and Ben and all involved in maintaining Mushroom Valley and making it available to camp on.
To "future Hipcampers", pick up your rubbish. Seriously. The amount of it that gets left here by campers isn't ok, especially when there's a tonne of wildlife on the property and a creek a few metres away. A couple of minutes walking over your area after you pack up and before you leave is all it takes.
