Quiet and dog friendly
Quite a few communication issues to start with and I was certainly hesitate to drive out there having not heard anything from Lee BUT after being out there with no reception, I now know why. We did manage to get hold of Lee on our way to Echo Valley. Spot on for directions to get there where we were met by John who was very accommodating and friendly. It’s not a huge area that I would camp in and basically you have three main areas that I would recommend for camping. There is out in the middle of the paddock but no shade. There’s several dwellings on the property but not an issue. As you enter the gate, straight to the left is where we camped and where the waterhole for swimming is. Head down the short steep track over the small creek crossing and then turn left leads you to a really nice shaded area where you can access the bottom end of the water hole. Turn right and head over the open paddock and there’s an area near four gum trees. No creek access really. Friendly farm dogs visited us several times and our two dogs were sort of ok with this. Even though we were camped 10 m from Amamoor Creek Rd, the gun club was the only reason cars drove past. It was never an issue. Lots to see if you’re into 4x4 or head back to Amamoor Creek campground for a short hike or Amamar day use area for a dog friendly hike. For the price we loved our stay and both John and Lee were very hospitable. Thanks to you both
Relaxing, private and fun for kids
Relaxing, peaceful, lots of wildlife to see and a beautiful creek to swim in. Kids also had lots of fun swimming or rock hopping in the creek.
Peace in a valley
Lovely little spot in the middle of nowhere...peace and quite just what we needed for our last minute late notice escape...definitely no service 🥰 Bonus... we met the host briefly and eas warmly welcomed
Enjoyed our stay at Echo Valley. Quick communication and easy to follow directions. Nice and quiet location and quick stroll to the creek to cool off. Lee and John where very welcoming and even dropped off some extra fire wood. Would recommend staying here!!
Awesome little spot on Lees property!
If you have a CB radio give John a call on Ch40 and he will come meet you to take you across the creek crossing up into the property.
John was great, more then happy to cut and split fire wood for you.
Very dog friendly which is great gives them the space to have a good time to.
I will back!
What a wonderful bit of county. I stayed with my 1 year old son and our family dog who both had freedom to roam and explore. The owners were so personable, they even made the effort to check on us after a big storm. Would recommend to all families and definitely will return.
