We have a selection of beautiful creek side locations where you can enjoy the clear, fresh running water and a selection of other sites only a short walk from the water. Conveniently located just a short drive off the Bruce Highway our sites are not designated, you choose your own on arrival While staying, you will have the opportunity to take a walk into the past to view a private collection of Australiana, including a working stationary, engine display and vintage kitchen with wood stoves. Access to the property is via a creek crossing so it is advisable to phone ahead if there has been recent rain or rainfall is forecast. Toilets are located on the property but campers will need their own shower facilities and take all waste with them on departure. Campfires are permitted but must be contained at all times in a fire pits that we also have for your use Calen is a small cane growing and cattle town with a general store, pharmacy, service station, butcher and the local pub. Zarby's cafe is a short drive away if you would like to dine in for breakfast or lunch in a retro style setting. Very good, we will be back for sure

This is a very nice site to camp. There are large flat mown grass areas offering a wide range of camp sites including many with creek frontage. This means it suits everyone from large groups to singles or couples. Enough room to get away from neigbours if you need and even a couple of quiet secluded spots. At the time the creek was quite full, clear and allowed swimming and other water activities including the kayacs provided free of charge. There are no showers, but with fires permitted, and abundant water setting up your own for a long hot camp shower for everyone is the go. Flushing toilets are present but maybe a bit of a walk depending on where you choose to camp. Some folks just drive up to the loo!

Nature at it finest.

This is a gorgeous creek side location and beautifully kept by Hosts. Perfect swimming, abundance of lovely wildlife was a perfect get away in nature. Terry and Sue were wonderful hosts, Sue literally gave me a part of camper when I discovered mine had failed. Kayaks supplied for use in the creek was awesome and the shed full of Antiques is a wonderful addition to the place. Would recommend to all and will be back.

Perfect getaway spot

So peaceful, good views, water fun, room for kids to run around, heaps of room for many campers, antiques were fun to see. Nice toilets, we were down near the portaloo area and they were clean and good as far as portaloos go.

Such a fabulous spot for a few days R and R! There’s been a lot of work done on the property since our last visit, with lots of beautiful camp sites to choose from! Bonus to have lovely clean, flushing toilets! We did get a bit of a fright when the creek came up overnight, but Terry and Sue were incredibly helpful, ensuring that everyone had supplies for an extra couple of nights’ stay, even ferrying us across the creek! Being only 40mins up the road from home, this is going to become our regular escape, just might wait for the dry season!🙄
