It rains A LOT HERE!! So we are pretty limited with when camping can happen on the grass areas because the ground gets very soft and muddy. August-December is the best time for camping. HOWEVER- there is one concrete slab -easily accessible for the lucky camper any time of year!

We enjoy having one group here at a time so when you book, you can be assured you have the whole place to yourselves. We have a 2 yr. old LabradorRetriever- Daisy, who loves hanging out with campers. She’s part of the experience. Your dog/s must be well socialised and friendly.

Campers will need to be self-sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. Campfires are welcome in the designated areas.

Camp spots are on the banks of Vine Creek. The water is right in front of you.

It is shallow but there is a great swimming area at the property entrance.

There is a large grassy area, perfect for ball games.

The house is about 100 metres from the campsites so it’s not 100% private but we keep to ourselves so you’ll only see us maybe in the afternoon when we like to come down and see Percy and Woderwick the platypuses.

There is a designated track up to Charlottes Hill and along Vine Creek. We welcome wilderness explorers to come and stay and do the walk. Vine Creek begins in Tully Gorge National Park, is spring fed and we are the first people to touch the water. As you can imagine, it is crystal clear. There is birdlife galore here and possums in the treetops.

We get Carpet Pythons, Red Bellied Black Snakes and Eastern Small Eyed Snakes and we love them all.

There may be stinging trees so if you are planning on wandering off you will need to be fully aware of what these trees look like and there can be leeches and ticks.

Guided walks up to Charlotte Hills can be arranged and for the parents with young kids who would like to do the walk, Jen is happy to look after your kids for a few hours while you take off with Rob. There’s plenty of places for swimming for the brave ones- the water is very cold at ALL times of the year.

Bring floaty toys for the kids!!

We had a great two nights here. Jenny and Rob were very friendly and welcoming. The creek and walking track were lovely, and we spotted the tail end of a couple of platypus. Too many birds to name, Jenny was kind enough to let our boys experience the bird life close up. Thanks for a lovely weekend away.
