Hart Hill boasts a stunning 28 acres. Your initial view of the property coming over a Thanes Creek causeway is that of a magnificent rock face. However, 500m down the road, through the gate, and over the ridge, Hart Hill exposes a lovely undulating fold baring a huge panorama of flat alluvial ground that hugs Thanes Creek.

Sprinkled with gums, the camping area is based west of the property in a stunning shady lea cooled by the creek and an old windmill for a backdrop.

Great place for families, grey nomads and fossickers. Isolated, with the best outlook in the area with direct creek frontage and lush camping with good shade and space. Approximately 1600metres of creek frontage.

Fossickers can gain access to a creek that has been unhindered for decades. Great for kayaking and swimming. Check out our website for other activities and more information.

The properties history is colourful. In 1869 the area was a hub for gold diggers wanting to strike it lucky. Today Hart Hill has old wooden stumps that tell a story of an old mining hut, and if you dug in some of the rock heaps you might get a shock when you uncovered more than gold.

We loved our stay there! We have Optus so no internet or phone service which was really good for us. Our businesses are on our phones so it was great to truly unplug. The emails and missed calls will be there when we come back to town.

We had a great time exploring the property, there was so much to do.

We had a couple of trips into the surrounding small towns and loved every bit of it.

We highly recommend for families wanting ti experience some farm animals (2 horses 2 ponies, one whivh was 5 weeks old! 3 goats and 2 friendly dogs). We enjoyed badminton, gold panning in the creek and walking around the property.

Great place to stay! Nice and quiet and facilities really clean. It is off leash which was great for our puppies, who loved having their own access to the creek! We will be back!

Hart Hill was a beautiful place to stay. I wouldn’t say the fishing was great for us but overall it was peaceful and the hosts were great! We’ll definitely be back.

Beautiful long weekend spent at Hart Hill Camping at Thanes Creek. Beautiful scenery, serene, and fun gold fossicking (even had Andrew come and deliver a free workshop and found a few flecks).

The hosts Jane and Mark were amazing, delivering ice and firewood as needed. Port-a-loo and shower were a great clean facility and very handy. 30mins from Warwick. Creek wasn't really swimable as there had been no rain, but we took the kids to Leslie Dam for a dip.

Kids loved the horses and made two best friends of Jack and T-Rex (the two dogs on the property)

Nice, quiet and peaceful spot with lovely host. Has a toilet and shower available for campers which are kept clean. Jane was very helpful and even went out of her way to find us a spare quilt for the night when we mentioned how cold our first night was. It was great to be able to let the dog off leash the whole time and it almost felt like a camping sanctuary for dogs where they could have the time of their lives jumping in the grass chasing butterflies and playing with other campers dogs or Jack and T-Rex (Jane’s friendly farm dogs). We will be back :)
