The Great Divide is where the River splits (hence the name!) and you can look across to an Island in NSW!! The Great Divide is also suitable for Caravans, RV's, Camper Trailers or Tents with easy access to the River for 'launching' your tinny or kayaks for fishing or just paddling up and down the River. A lovely swimming hole suitable for children. The Great Divide has 1 Porta Loo.
Nestled on the banks of the Dumaresq River on the QLD/NSW border in Southern Queensland, between Yelarbon, Inglewood and Texas. 'Bushland Hideaway' is a rural property with approx. 1 km of river frontage and is the perfect spot for small or large groups of families to relax, unwind and get away from it all in natures own environment.We offer clear blue skies during the day and starry skies at night, peaceful large grassy campsites beside the Dumaresq River surrounded by magnificent gum and oak trees shared with native wildlife. All our campsites are readily accessible for all types of vehicles, caravans or RVs.We welcome quiet, respectful, nature-loving campers who enjoy all that Bushland Hideaway offers including fishing, swimming, canoeing, walking and bicycle tracks, photography etc.Public waste bins are available at the entrance from the main road, Campfires permitted in designated areas when the season permits - please check. Firewood is available for sale or BYO. Long drop bush toilets on site. Nearest dump point at Yelarbon, 23 klm away. Pets considered on booking.

The hosts Phil and Anne are fabulous. We arrived very late and they where more than accommodating about the situation. The scenery is beautiful!
The portable toilets are cleaned everyday/ stocked this is usually very unusual for a long weekend at the many other places we have stayed. You are given a very large private site to camp on. They could easily allow more campers but they don’t as they want you to enjoy your stay. Will definitely be going again!
Phil and Anne are lovely and wonderful hosts the sites and facilities are impeccable will be back for sure
This was my 2nd trip to the Bushland Hideaway by the River, I love it there! It's dog friendly, camper friendly with friendly owners :) I camped at the Great Divide (where the river splits), beautiful views, great swimming - can touch the bottom near the shore that's shaded by the trees. There's also a magic fire pit that even I could light ;) The clean portaloo at the site makes camping so much easier. Heaps of room & plenty of walks to take in the views. Both times there were other campers while I was there & I never even heard them :) Can't recommend this place enough!
Bushland Hideaway by the River was an amazing secluded place to spend some nights with our family and dog. Phil and Anne are wonderfully friendly, and the site - the Great Divide - was incredible. It was so relaxing to be able to swim or just sit in the river. There were birds all around the site all day, and the occasional kangaroo or wallaby. Thank you again Phil and Anne for your hospitality, this is definitely a site we'll come back to!
The Great Divide was beautiful and well appointed, Phil and Anne were lovely and helpful, and the firewood + kayak were a delightful touch. Will be back!
Anne and Phill are wonderfully friendly. The camping areas are well maintained, fire pit with portaloo, which is immaculate.

The river was great, with the free hire of kayak the kids and adults we kept busy for hours.
Lots of fish frames found with huge scales, but no luck for us this time.
We came on the recommendation of a friend and we were not disappointed. Great bush camping with lots to see and do.
We highly recommend sropoibg in to Texas to see the rabbit works. Such amazing Australian history.
