UPDATE. CAMPSITE WILL BE CLOSED FROM MID MAY TO END OF AUGUST 2024 FOR FAMILY REASONS. Bretim’s Farm is a 65 acre grazing property near Leyburn in the Southern Darling Downs Qld. The campsite is open and has a large open area with “choose your own spot” sites. We do have a fully equipped BBQ area and playground for the kids but unfortunately we have had to close the camp kitchen since the floods. Currently we are not running any sheep or cattle having destocked due to issues with sheep caused by the extremely wet weather recent flood events. So sadly cannot offer lamb cuddles and feeding. However, we will be working our pasture and getting ready to restock with cattle and a few sheep in 2023. We offer drive-through shady sites along the banks of our seasonal creek 1.2kms down a dirt farm track at the back of our property. The creek generally usually runs December - March then it goes shallow & waterholes can dry up in drought - although this past 2 years it has flooded several times and has run all year. Dog friendly (must be on a lead), rain and bore water available, a long drop loo and fireplaces available (when fire restrictions aren't in place). Showers available in rustic facility. Many local festivals and event in nearby rural centres - Leyburn, Millmerran, Warwick, Stanthorpe, Toowoomba.Campsite area by the creek. We offer drive-through shady sites among the trees by our seasonal creek 1.2kms down a maintained dirt farm track at the back of our property. The creek generally runs December - March then it goes shallow, (although in unusual weather events can run all year), waterholes can dry up in drought. Composting toilet and a camp shower with hot water available. Potable rain water available, drought dependent. Fire wood and fire pits available, subject to firebans. Children's playground. It was nice and quiet camping on Brenda's land even though there were quite a few other campers there. There was plenty of space to have quite a big gap between others. The property is pet friendly. There is a toilet and shower there. Firewood is supplied free of charge for camp oven cooking or campfires. The property is only about a 5 km drive from Leyburn Village. There is a convenience store there for supplies and a pub that has big & delicious meals and is pet friendly.

Great spot well off any roads. Plenty of room to spread out. Fire wood and a composting toilet for use. Lovely welcoming hosts with lots of knowledge of farming and the area. Good pub nearby. Beautiful starry night and perfect spot for relaxing.

Great farm stay.

Lovely quiet location, large flat area by the creek. Hosts are beautiful people, we visited for the nearby Leyburn Sprints event and we’re treated to a complimentary 3 course campfire dinner which was scrumptious. Really enjoyed the whole experience and will definitely come again.
