Finca Hekiti offers a retreat for the local as well as the international traveler. Our Cacao Forrest Farm is on the border of Añasco and Las Marias in the interior mountains of the island of Puerto Rico, just 30-40 minutes from the coast. We live in Rincón and work the farm on weekends some days a week, allowing for privacy and quiet for our guests. You can pitch a tent in our two platforms on the forest or in some areas available close to the main container home. The area of the farm is about 4 acres of forrest. On weekends we focus our energies on working in the forrest clearing the fallen trees and branches from Hurricane Maria and planting fine grain grafted cacao trees, as well as soursop (guanabana), citrus varieties, pineapple, plantain, banana, guava and more fruit trees and food producing plants and roots. A rain catchment system is installed at the container home, as well as solar. The common bathroom is available to all in the forrest with a septic tank toilet, shower and sink. This campground is a 3 minute walk to the main container home and you may be sharing the forrest with other campers. We don't allow for campfires and expect all belongings be gathered as well as trash before leaving the forrest. No picking fruits with out asking first please, for your safety and the economy of the farm.
You can birdwatch, meditate, investigate the forrest for plant varieties, drive down the mountain to great surf in Rincon or further interior for rivers, caves, waterfalls, coffee tours and more. Our farm is rustic and we are still working on developing trail systems, but would be more than happy to have visitors to help us with any of the farm duties.

My kids and I really enjoyed camping at the farm. It was easy to get to and the beautiful views were all over. I definitely recommend coordinating the tour, Ricardo is a passionate teacher and transmits his knowledge about cacao and, nature in general, easily. 🍫🍫🍫 melts in your mouth super yummy! Can’t remember trying any chocolate that comes close!
Great camping experience @ricardo’s
We had a fantastic stay at Ricardo’s cacao farm. He was very helpful in getting us acquainted with the farm and the various flora & fauna.
The campsite was on a platform in the middle of the forest a short walk away from the parking area. The trails are not that developed but it wasn’t much of a problem.
There’s a great outdoor cooking area with all the supplies you might need with a bathroom close by. The main house also has places to put up hammocks with a great view of the mountains and has an electrical outlet.
Overall, Ricardo couldn’t have been a better host. Highly recommend this super cool site.
