Chris and Jackie were grate the first night we didn't have a fire starter and they brought one out for us. It's cold out so we were the only ones there bits a good amount of place between eatch camp site. We stayed at the one in the far left corner and it's a nice walk across the land to the bathroom witch was very clean.
Great stay. Very accommodating and hospitable hosts. Easy access to rickets glen, local drive in theater, and beautiful Pennsylvania country side.
Site was super level, great open sky with ample space between sites.
“What stood out the most to me is how well maintained the site is. It was immaculate. And so peaceful. Each area is spaced out enough that you still have privacy. Oh and that cleaning station is clutch for sure - especially since the water was slightly heated. I feel like the best review is that we both said we can’t wait to go back.” - Quote my GF and I fully agree
Great camping 25 minutes park
Such a great place!
Few things to keep in mind:
No cellular, only wifi
It gets wet in the evening.
Hosts are very nice people,
Would totally come visit again
“the hidden gem” of ricketts glen!
This was the best campsite/camp experience we’ve had on hipcamp! Chris and Jackie are amazing. They are some of the nicest people you’ve ever meet, very welcoming, attentive, and they will make sure you have an amazing time at camp. This site is a hidden gem if you plan to hike Ricketts Glen State Park it is less than 20 minutes away. The camp is great, open field, very cool antique vehicles around the sites, they added little details around the site that makes it feel like your glamping. The sites are very well maintained, and spaced out. There is no need to carry wood (outside fire wood is not allowed) they have wood available, and it is ALOT of fire wood!
I have already recommended this site to many friends that want to go towards that area.
Whether you’re an experienced camper, or your first time, you’ll have an amazing. With that in mind, if you’ve never camped before, I would say this is a perfect place to start!
Chris and Jackie were excellent hosts! Camp site is flat enough for tents or whatever you’re staying in : ) they had wood available and it’s around 25 Minutes from Rickets and easy to get in and out of with convenient Wi-Fi : )
