Description

You’ll find Ice Cap Creek Campground on a bluff up above the McKenzie River and Carmen Reservoir. The McKenzie, designated as a National Wild and Scenic River, won’t be visible from your campsite, since you’ll be surrounded by a stand of hemlock, Douglas fir, and cedar. Ideal for hikers, this location provides easy access to McKenzie River Trail. Mario and Luigi would have a field day on this trail, which winds through old lava flows, a forest of old growth conifers, footbridges, and stunning waterfalls! The 22 campsites can be reserved in advance, and the area can be inaccessible during snow, so be sure to check the website for closures.
