Description

We wouldn’t argue with you if you called it walking, but you might change your mind about hiking with the 140 miles of challenging trails at the Umapine Campground. Located west of Vey Meadows between Squaw and Umapine Creeks under a canopy of ponderosa. Umapine offers 3 group sites (including one pull through site) and 5 single sites. The rustic campground is a central staging area for the Winom-Frazier OHV trail area which gives off-road riders access to challenging trails. This campground lands at the top of many outdoorsy types’ lists, including locals. Thanks to several route choices, it can be as challenging as you make it or don’t make it. Check website for closures.
