The Owyhee River is a fly fisherman's dream and the lake provides a beautiful spot for boating, paddling, fishing and swimming. There is also a natural hot spring on the way to the lake. If you do not want to cook, there are restaurants within fifteen miles. You can hike or bike for miles right from your campsite and ATV's are a fun way to get around. Vineyard sunrise and river views!
Elizabeth and George were such great hosts! They greeted me after dark (which was good since I had no cell reception there) and the site was beautiful and quiet. I really appreciate the views of the vineyard and the Snake River. A nice location not too far from Boise! It was also a great place to have my dog and hike off-leash. I would stay here again!
Beautiful spot up on the hill. Loved having the firewood, table, and hammock provided for us. George was kind and let us know that the next morning they would be picking grapes near our trailer, and invited us to join (sadly we didnt have time). It was the perfect stop for our road trip.
Our 2nd time here ! even more fab!!
Our 2nd time staying here (once in the spring and now at end of Sept). This place is truly magical... the new campsite pad they developed is perfect. Big enough for 2 camp trailers and we were delighted to be able to bring friends to share in the beauty. Hiking is fabulous, weather was picture perfect, the amenities and the friendliness of the hosts are 2nd to none! And the views go for miles and never get old!
We were there during a grape harvest day, which was a special treat to witness. The massive green lawn is perfect for soccer, tag, and throwing the ball with our GSD.
The host family Elizabeth and George, and their entire immediate and extended family really roll out the red carpet welcoming feel. Thanks for letting the kids take a mule ride, Lucy! And the slip-n-slide was the hit of the weekend when the temps reached 88 degrees.
We promised we'd be back the last time we stayed and we wouldn't hesitate to come back again -- and we will !
What a nice private spot. Amazing people. The view is to die for. They were very accommodating and I honestly just had such a peaceful time, perfect for finishing out the last bit of my cross country trip. Highly recommend.
If you are self contained, this is a wonderful, and relaxing spot to set down for the evening... A beautiful overlook, and the surrounding farms and fields offer a superior option to crowded RV parks. Enjoy!
