What a treat! Connie has her hands full, yet took the time to introduce us to all of her fur and feathered babies.
The ranch is in a gorgeous location! We saw the sunset the evening we arrived, and the sun rise the next morning.
We are already planning a trip back in the spring.
This was our first experience with Hipcamp, and it was a great, positive one. Connie and Lee were both very hospitable, and are kind, caring hosts. Due to the upcoming stormy weather and prior to our departure, Connie had messaged me, stating we would get a full refund should the weather keep us away (it didn't) - I thought this was most considerate, especially after I witnessed how very busy she is with their horse ranch.
The location was ideal, the property was beautiful, her cats and dog very friendly, and I loved that the bathroom was in the barn - I found that absolutely charming! Hearing the coyotes at night was a special bonus.
We will definitely be back, as it is super close to Silver Falls State Park and the Frank Lloyd Wright Gordon House.
Great overnight stay! This spot really saved our butt when Champoeg Park was full and we were tired from driving. Having an electric plug-in, a bathroom, and the Keurig coffee in the morning were definite bonuses - as was waking up to chickens roaming around!
Spot #1 was just the right size for my 22' long Sprinter. It's snugged up against the barn, with the driveway on the other side, so it wouldn't fit anything much bigger than us. Overall, it was a good value for the cost in the area. Thank you, Connie!
An awesome place to camp
Connie and Lee were welcoming and Lee helped me set up my shelter, much appreciated! It was fun staying there with all the friendly animals and the wide open spaces all around. There a kitchette (no frig) and a restroom, so that was very nice to have. An interesting place to stay and close to the best State Park in Oregon, Silver Falls State Park.
Beautiful property, would recommend for a short stay. However, we stayed for about a month and would probably try to find somewhere else if needed again. The hosts were very accommodating; Lee always had good recommendations on what to do around town! The flies, mice, and dust were not ideal for our living situation and the site was not very private as they are positioned next to where the horses get moved to in the morning and afternoon. Pretty quiet and peaceful otherwise!
