Description

Legend has it that Sam Brown was one of the first African-American men to settle in southern Oregon and he worked as a barkeep right here. With a large meadow for all sorts of activities, Sam Brown Campground gets the thumbs up for larger groups. There are 36 tent or trailer sites with fire pits, picnic tables and three shared vault toilets. Other facilities include drinking water, garbage disposal, covered picnic tables and an amphitheatre for your next folksy hoedown. Trails are abundant (even motorcycle friendly) and you just may spot elk on your visit. Check the camp website for alerts and advisories.
