This magical property is conveniently located 5 miles north of Florence and directly on Hwy 101, approximately 3/4 of a mile from the ocean.   This is a large private site that is surrounded by old growth timber and teaming with flora and fauna.  Campers are encouraged to explore the numerous trails systems, but be aware, this property is wild.. and encounters with wildlife are common.  For those really adventurous souls, it is possible to hike to Lilly lake, but it's very difficult and the wetlands surrounding it can be treacherous most times of the year.  The property's surrounding the camp are mostly BLM, but we do have full time neighbors just to the North, so we ask that you be respectful and cautious with regard to dogs/noise-  Hwy 101 can be very dangerous for unsuspecting pets.  We offer unlimited campfire wood for $10/night, however, there are several roadside campfire stations(directly across 101 from camp) offering small bundles for $5-6/night.  Beyond the adventuring that can be done on the property, Baker Beach state park is less than a half a mile away and there is a plethora of trails, parks and lakes within 10 miles.   There is a spring fed creek that runs through the middle of the property and although clean, we wouldn't recommend if for drinking without treatment.  However, we do ask that you use it to help extinguish campfires at check out.   Relax and enjoy!

Nice private campsite surrounded by huge trees and ferns. Very clean out potty. There is some traffic noise as it is right on the highway but it dies down after 10pm. We heard elk and saw lots of stars through the canopy.

Beautiful spot, decent amount of space, gorgeous trees, well kept and not too loud for being by highway 101 !

It was so nice to have a private spot at the peak of summer, what with the business of the Oregon coast and the inland wildfires.

Traffic noise was heavy during the day, but tapered off at night and, honestly, we tuned it out pretty quickly. Be ready & able to split big rounds of wood, or bring your own. Check with the Siuslaw Valley Fire and Rescue if you are not sure about fire regulations.

We didn't see any bears, but the neighbor came by (to get her dog, who had wandered over) and said that August was the time they are out and about. We did see a coyote across the road!

We really enjoyed this spot and would definitely come back in late summer. Thanks, Jason & Megan!

I’m a road trip down the 101 and this place was perfect!! Jason & Megan were quick to reply to my last minute request. Spot is big- lots of room to spread out. Very private and easy to access. Coast is nearby too! Would recommend ;)

We had a good time! The old growth forest and the shrubbery were really beautiful. The spot is pretty open and the fire pit was super appreciated. Being by the highway didn’t bother us but it might for others if you’re sensitive to sporadic road noise.

Great little oasis of green space with tons of hiking and beach access points nearby. The beauty, space and convenience of the spot are totally worth the trade-off that there's some road noise from Hwy 101 (which drops off a lot at night anyway). Hosts were prompt and friendly answering questions. Would definitely stay here again/recommend it.

The spot was beautiful and I had an amazing time there! Something to be aware of: there is some highway noise and I’m not sure if it ever died down because I can literally sleep through anything.
