Description

Take a nap in Wickiup Campground, and you’ll wakeiup in paradise. Nestled amongst Ponderosa Pines and bordering Canyon Creek, Wickiup’s seven first-come, first-served sites make the perfect getaway in all seasons. During the summer, hikers explore the Strawberry Mountain Wilderness and fishers spend their days at the nearby streams filled with Rainbow and Bull Trout. As temperatures drop, hunters flock to Wickiup for the Rocky Mountain Elk and mule deer, and snowmobilers use it as a homebase. Check website for closures.

Very peaceful. If you go in early May there's tons of Monarch butterflies! Just follow the manzanita bushes and you'll find them :)
